A boy wants to sleep. His bed is located 10 feet from a light switch. He sleeps in a bunk bed 8 feet over the floor. He turns off the light switch. He doesn't use any contraptions ( wires, poles, clapper, etc.). Yet, he gets in bed while the room is still lighted. How is this possible?

Analyzing the question, it's curious that he's in a bunk bed. That detail would likely be significant as most beds are not bunk beds. Bed is 10 feet from the switch, bunk bed is 8 feet above the floor -- a difference of 2 feet.
So I would say the switch is located on the ceiling 2 feet above the bunk bed, easily within arms reach.
