Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student Colton Haab said he was approached by CNN to ask a question at Wednesday night's town hall but decided not to after the network gave him a "scripted question," quashing one he wrote himself. Haab, a member of the Junior ROTC shielded students while the school was under attack from the shooter, said he was going to ask about using veterans as armed security guards. "I expected to be able to ask my questions and give my opinion on my questions," Haab said.
"CNN had originally asked me to write a speech and questions and it ended up being all scripted," Haab told WPLG-TV.
CNN aired a town hall on the Florida school shooting with Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Bill Nelson (D-FL) that included NRA's Dana Loesch and Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel that was moderated by Jake Tapper. Students and parents asked questions about gun control and school safety.
"Colton Haab, a member of the Junior ROTC who shielded classmates in the midst of terror says he did not get to share his experience," WPLG's Janine Stanwood explained.
"Colton wrote questions about school safety, suggested using veterans as armed school security guards but claims CNN wanted him to ask a scripted question instead so he decided not to go," Stanwood reported.
"CNN had originally asked me to write a speech and questions and it ended up being all scripted," Haab said. "I don't think that it's going get anything accomplished. It's not gonna ask the true questions that all the parents and teachers and students have."

I remember a time when you would have dismissed that as a "conspiracy theory". It was a TV show; lights, cameras, a stage, studio audience.....it even ended with a musical number. Of course it was scripted. Only a complete idiot (Rubio) would actually think it was an organic & spontaneous "town hall"
I used the term loosely. He was not pretending to be a victim. Apparently he did attend the school on the day of the shooting. But someone else shoveled their words into his mouth. Or he would have known how to pronounce those words instead of stumbling and revealing he had never seen those words before. Don't think I'm buying into your whole schtick about Newtown or Boston Marathon "crisis actors" because I most certainly do not.
That is the way CNN was presenting it. Of course, CNN caters to complete idiots, as it sort of matches their own intelligence levels. I chuckle at the way these CNN anchoresses wear those bookworm glasses ( we used to call them "birth control glasses" in the military) to try and make themselves look more erudite.
I've seen some commentary arguing that Rubio made a good stand for himself and for the GOP before a very hostile mob. Politics is performance art in some measure so maybe they're right.
I don't watch CNN ever moment of the day (to say the least), so I guess some of that stuff might have slipped through.
CBS Miami is on Eastern time. That screenshot was taken in California or somewhere in the Pacific time zone, making it three hours difference by the clock. Google and Twitter do adjust to local time automatically. You are such a rube.

But I am not logged in to Twitter and my IP address is VPNed to show me in Central Time zone anyway. Unlike your yellow-journalism source, I'm willing to give the actual link to the tweet so you don't have to take my word for it. I think it is the Uber timeline and the Fox News timeline that are in error. FloridaToday: 17 killed in 'catastrophic' shooting at Parkland school; shooter in custody, According to the FNC timeline, the shooter hadn't even been arrested yet. But Florida Times was already reporting his arrest. Or maybe they're all in on Da Conspiracy. Maybe that should be your next article.
I regularly report news stories and comment on them. What I don't do is post a lot of #FakeNews to this site. That is what Deckard does. Go look at that crackpot site he got this article from.
