To answer your question, "drones" but to use "God" as the author seems a bit far fetched. I think John the apostle wrote the entirety of the contents within Revelations during his struggles of life just before his death.
When I was putting the author I thought about that. Then I thought some more and since all scripture is said to be inspired by God. And since all scripture is said to be God's word. Then it must be god that directed John to write what he wrote. Wasn't his visions from God the creator?
