I won't take it personally if you follow that with 'and here's why.....'" I got a lot of great feedback and suggestions with that policy. If an employee thinks so strongly about something that he/she may think I'm full of shit about it, I figure it deserves at least a hearing. On the other hand, on the few occasions somebody tried to harm my business, my employees or me (I don't mean competition, I mean things like filing false complaints with government drones trying to drive me out of business), I set out to destroy them. In situations like that, I'm the nastiest badger you'll ever see - mean, persistent and creative. Otherwise, I'm a pussycat, probably too much of one and not tough enough dealing with people.
