He knew and his family knew the risks of the narcotics he took; and perhaps it was on a daily basis. Totally disagree with you about your attempt of product differentiation concerning "prescription" vs. non-prescription narcotics. Apparently, he was trying to kill the intense pain. This isn't a terribly unusual story of overdosing with legal meds due to intense pain. I feel kinda sorry for him. I have a little more sympathy for people suffering general failure and intense pain day-to-day. Sometimes their judgment is impaired by taking these painkillers and other drugs.
