Washington Post FALSELY reported the President’s massive sold-out rally in Pensacola, Florida was empty. Dishonest reporter showed picture of empty arena HOURS before crowd started pouring in. 6. CNN FALSELY edited a video to make it appear President Trump defiantly overfed fish during a visit with the Japanese prime minister. Japanese prime minister actually led the way with the feeding. 7. CNN FALSELY reported about Anthony Scaramucci’s meeting with a Russian, but retracted it due to a “significant breakdown in process.” 8. Newsweek FALSELY reported that Polish First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda did not shake President Trump’s hand. 9. CNN FALSELY reported that former FBI Director James Comey would dispute President Trump’s claim that he was told he is not under investigation. 10. The New York Times FALSELY claimed on the front page that the Trump administration had hidden a climate report. 11. And last, but not least: “RUSSIA COLLUSION!” Russian collusion is perhaps the greatest hoax perpetrated on the American people. THERE IS NO COLLUSION! Of the 11, I’d describe five as major reporting mistakes, five as minor/sloppy/stupid, and the jury’s out on Russiagate. CNN leads the pack with four nominations, three of which involve serious errors. How Trump didn’t ding them for their 8,000 airings of the word “sh*thole” last week or for Jim Acosta’s endless excruciating mugging for the camera, I’ll never know. Maybe he’s developing restraint in his old age. They’re a cinch to win “Crappiest Outlet,” though. Congratulations to everyone there! A poll result for you to chew on via Marist in light of my post this morning about righties removing their trust from media and reposing it in the person of their leader instead: Note well: People weren’t asked whether they trust Trump or “the media” more, they were asked whether they trust Trump or their favorite news source more. That means Fox News, Breitbart, Pizzagate.com, whatever floats your boat. Trump still wins handily among Republicans when they’re given those two options. Asked to choose between independent media outlets they trust and a political tribal chief not known to be a stickler for accuracy, GOPers are pretty much all-in on the latter. How’s that for small-government conservatism? The one really smart thing they did was tack on a list of Trump’s accomplishments so far at the end of the list. If you’re going to pull a stunt this goofy, you should exploit it to get your substantive message out. They did. Exit question via a Twitter pal: How long did they spend on putting this thing together? Two hours? In the entire course of Trump’s first year, they were so strapped to find major media mistakes that they had to add “Trump really did shake the Polish First Lady’s hand” as an immortal screw-up? C’mon.

Some involve serious screw-ups, like CNN’s notorious botched reporting on Anthony Scaramucci and the Russian bank, some involves minor ones like Trump supposedly overfeeding Japanese fish with Shinzo Abe. After reading them you’re supposed to vote on which outlet is the worst and entire your name, email, etc. It’s a fundraising ploy! A crummy commercial, as Ralphie Parker famously said. 1. The New York Times’ Paul Krugman claimed on the day of President Trump’s historic, landslide victory that the economy would never recover.
