Amash's father was a successful Pali Christian businessman before he immigrated. Amash was born here. Amash began his career as lawyer for the family business. So I'm not sure exactly how you're trying to spin this. As a lawyer from the family of a successful business, he would no doubt do much better in salary/benefits in the private sector. Unlike some of the shyster lawyers in Congress, Amash could make a better living elsewhere. But he obviously has a certain innate passion for politics, much as Ted Cruz does.
