Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is scheduled to meet privately Wednesday evening with top administration climate aide Carol Browner.

Graham is working with Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) to craft a bipartisan cap and trade bill.

He plans to discuss the ways Senate leaders can deal with manufacturing and coal state worries that the bill will spike electricity bills in the midst of a deep recession.

“We’ve got to address people’s concerns about compliance costs and rate payer increases,” he told POLITICO.

He’ll also use the meaning to address nuclear power, off-shore drilling and new coal technologies — all controversial ideas among the environmental community.

Graham expects to roll out more details of his bipartisan climate bill early next year.

“After the holidays, hopefully, we’ll start putting things together here,” said Graham.

In Copenhagen on Wednesday, Kerry said passage of the bill could happen as early as June.

Browner postponed her trip to Copenhagen to roll out green jobs and energy efficiency initiatives in Washington. She plans to fly to the Danish capital on Friday with President Barack Obama.

Time for more strongly worded phone calls & emails to Linsie's office flunkies.

I know you like Sarah Palin and all, but unfortunately THIS is the face of the GOP these days.

And THAT's why we're screwed.

The science is settled, peer-reviews are complete, and the debate is over: Al Gore IS a fraud and an idiot.

Lindsay Graham is a sellout to America. And a major sellout to the South.

Graham: Obama’s “Bitch?”

By fitsnews • on December 15, 2009

U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (RINO – S.C.) is portrayed as a loyal and faithful dog to President Barack Obama in a funny new cartoon published by the folks at GetLiberty.org.

We were forwarded the cartoon from several sources yesterday, including one anonymous Lindsey supporter who tersely informed us that “Senator Graham’s detractors have gone too far this time.”

Really? Because frankly, we don’t think they went far enough. In fact, we’d have put some low-hanging nipples on that dog and called the cartoon “Obama’s bitch.”

But that’s just us …

More to the point, the cartoon was accompanied by a scathing oped excoriating Graham for his support of a massive new energy tax known as “Cap and Trade.” The column, written by GetLiberty’s Carter Clews, refers to Graham as “The Watermelon Man,” because he’s “green on the outside, pink on the inside.”

Wait … do they mean “pink” like a communist? Or “pink” like … you know … never mind.

"Anyway, from Get Liberty:

It is almost impossible to overstate the damage Graham has done across the board by sleeping with the enemy on this draconian socialistic measure. Not only has he increased the chances of the once-moribund bill’s passage by giving it bipartisan cover, he has also served notice on the American people that he has now become nothing more than a carbon-obsessed copy of all that he once pretended to oppose.

Like Marley’s Ghost, cap and trade was dead. Average, everyday Americans knew that it was government control in extremis. That it would give the greedy, grasping Washington political elite despotic dominion over the very air we breathe – and empower them to exact an onerous tax on every breath we take.

So, they told the politicians to back off, to stop scaring the children with dumbed-up stories about the earth on the brink of a fiery demise, and to cease making believe the carbon extant since the beginning of time had somehow transmogrified itself into the Deadly Creature from the Industrial Lagoon.

For once, the politicians, ever fearful of losing their plush offices and lavish perks, listened.

Of course, then along came Graham and his willingness to “reach across the aisle” in a “bipartisan spirit” to “get things done.”

Again, we applaud reaching across the aisle, working in the spirit of bipartisanship and getting things done … if the “thing” getting done is worthwhile.

People often forget, though, that these terms represent totally amoral concepts which derive their worth (or worthlessness) based on the end objective being sought.

In this case, the end objective could result in a $4,000 annual increase on the average American family’s energy bills – all while costing thousands of jobs and failing to achieve any reduction whatsoever in global emissions.

Does any of that sound worthwhile? Of course not …

Accordingly, in this case “reaching across the aisle” in a “bipartisan spirit” to “get things done” is not something to be praised, it’s something to be criticized mercilessly … even to the point of making someone “your bitch.”

Really? I wonder what he would think about this one?

Assuming of course that a Lady Lindsey supporter is even capable of thinking.

I wonder if they just blackmailed him into supporting this to keep from releasing the video and audiotapes that have of him,or if they also added a little cash to sweeten the deal?

Who here thinks Lady Lindsey could get re-elected in SC if he were exposed to the public as a homosexual and there was video and audio proof of it?

I've heard Lindsay's a little light in the loafers.

Not uncommon here in MD for our politicos, but he's from SC.

We may well be...

As long as Lady Lindsey(F) and other GOP sell outs whore themselves out to the Dem-Elites, by the time we grab the helm, the USS America will be listing.

Conservative Pubbies have GOT to bust a HUGE move...and quick.

No problemo.

He'd merely become a (D) and win as anti-hero for the liberal party....But he's far more valuable to them as a RINO.

Wrong guy.

What kills me is the fact that you really have to "watch your back" when you go into a men's room anywhere, especially a rest stop.

We had a major problem in Whitemarsh, MD on Sat. mornings. All the married bi's could go to Sears to buy that hardware for a honey-do project and were hooking up in the department store men's rooms so often they had to keep the restrooms under lock and key.

The average American family does not have an extra $4000 a year. Get used to sitting in the dark with no heat. No sympathy for those who voted for Obama. He told them what he planned and they voted for him anyway. Screw them.

The morons in SC re elected him even after he tried twice to ram amnesty through. They would vote for him no matter what he does. He brings home the money. Besides the South is not what it was. Too many Yankees have moved in. gay is probably an asset now.
