Funny that most of that same original domestic and institutional infrastructure is still in place from over 100 years ago. Yes, INCLUDING, a military, policing, judiciary, a working Congress, schooling, roads, and transportation hubs. Via nominal, FAIR taxation.
BEFORE the Banksters were given the keys to create their Feral Reserve Cabal, American workers rightfully KEPT most of their "earnings." keyword: "EARNINGS." Until The Bureaucracy/Kleptocracy became tyrannical maniacs and professional parasites.
As an aside: A second and last wave of Infrastructure building/rebuilding was birthed during FDR's 1930s CWA projects. This actually made sense since it used the unemployed and under-employed to work to build roads, sewers, water piping, bridges, etc. (Why can't we do this now with the vast idle/unemployed workforce?? Oh, that's right: UNIONS. THE ACLU. Slothful Liberal Democrats and Elite NEED to maintain their Plantation. AND VOTES.) Then the Elites/Banksters got their Great War -- but not before conveniently and illegally first confiscating Mom and Pop's gold.

The Progs/Elites discovered and exploited loopholes in constitutional governance. Since 1913, they've continued to abuse their authoritah, abuse the dollar itself, abuse the education system, abuse America's FREEDOM, enslave the USA into supporting their BIG GUBMINT bureaucratic web of self-serving pencil-pushing gubmint Lotto Winners. To accomplish this, the greedy Military-Industrial Complex as well as the Gubmint-Education Complex needed to be fed constantly.
During the last 20 years or so, gubmint drones have been given outlandish bennies and platinum-plated healthcare up the wazoo -- to say nothing of lucretive retirement pensions (some after only 5 years. ) Most of it underwritten BY THE PRIVATE SECTOR.
Who was/does much of that hiring? LIBERAL DEMOCRATS. No wonder a large majority of the 24% of ALL US employees are mostly loyal registered Democrats.
In conclusion, thanks to giving the keys to America's car to International Bankster Inc, the never-ending ever-escalating taxation/theft and over-officiousness at the Feral level (then State and Local) was justified by claiming, "MORE taxes are needed to help keep you safe." (Later on, the mantra became: "It's-for-the-Children.") OR..."Just because we can, and besides -- Congressman/Councilman Mack-Daddy needs a new lakefront home.")
Now with the Elites planning on doing away with physical paper/coinage currencies altogether (in lieu of a cyber-created and controlled and eventual One-World "currency"), the wholesale theft of the world's Middle Class Private Sector will be siphoned straight into the Kleptocratic Bankster-Gubmint Machination maw. But...but...at least we still have a free internet, free-speech beacons like Twitter and Facebook, and free and honest "news" reporting. And long live NPR/PBS!!
