Not that I am principled for any reason against investing in pot stocks, it is that I have found too many other categories I like to swing trade better. Therefore, since I cannot recommend any stocks to you, I do however have some general information that should be of help to you. I find this reference source to contain the most valuable and timely update around for my trading purposes and I go to it maybe a hundred or so times each market day. Im going to sink several thousand dollars into any company that produces marijuana My suggestion is not to go with a single company. I would divide the money and spread it over a number of companies and then still do an average cost buy in over a period of time. I would also definitely place stop loss orders immediately after buying a stock. Furthermore, when I buy a stock….I start in with a proportional amount and buy more each time the stock rises a certain percentage point. I always raise my stock loss each time it rises. It may sound like a strange way to look at what I am about to say when you are considering buying stocks to make money. But my main goal above all else is to protect my capital investment by striving to make just a bit more effort to save my money, than I spend trying to make more money. I adopted this strategy many years ago only to later find some advisers on the Internet preaching the same thing to traders.
