Good Morning, Deckard
Yes, the world is waiting for the sunrise as those of us who closely follow you here on LF are patiently waiting for the barrage of cop-hating and government-detesting articles you plan to post today.
So, instead of posting those many articles .perhaps it will be easier for us if you just post the links on this thread in any order you desire.
Yes, the world is waiting for the sunrise as those of us who closely follow you here on LF are patiently waiting for the barrage of cop-hating and government-detesting articles you plan to post today.
Who is Gatlkn?
But whatever, --- those of us who closely follow you here on LF are patiently waiting for another barrage of cop-loving and government-praising articles you plan to post today. We need our morning laugh, --- giggles that you so insanely provide..
Both you, -- and Deckard, are doing all of us at LF a great service. Keep it up..
I will answer your question, but before I do .please permit me to share some very personal information with you.
As I have stated a number of time before on other threads when asked the same type question or when responding to a flippant remark .I am undergoing treatments and surgeries for eye problems. I had a cornea transplant in the right eye and that brought the vision in that eye up to a fuzzy 20/70 at its best times. My left is is a fuzzy 20/40 at its best times. The doctors are [and perhaps the surgeons may be] working on the retina in my left eye to stabilize it. I assure you that the poking with two needles in my left eye every four to six weeks is definitely nothing pleasurable, but I have no complaints. Any improvement in my vision is out of the question and stabilization is the best hope I have left. I am here to tell you that in some ways its a bitch for me to be 84. And while I miss doing some of the many things I used to do, I still have a wonderfully great quality of life and look forward to being on Gods great earth many more years.
So, you have asked:
Who is Gatlkn?
I am Gatlkn, and I am better known sometimes as Gatlin.
I hope I have now informed you who Gatlkn is and trust that you will understand why you will frequently find typos [many at times] in my posts. I read the posts on my computer with a magnifying glass and I answer them mostly by just blindly [pun intended] keying in responsive words and phrases without being able to fully see clearly all the words I am typing on the screen. I dont bother to take time to use the magnifying glass to proof read and I sincerely hope that you will forgive me for not doing that.
This is at least the third time I have needed to explain my eye problems and the unique posting situation I must contend with here on LF. I truly do hate making this really personal confession on LF, but I feel I am compelled to do that. And I am getting pretty damned tired of having to do it time and time again. So much so, that I am approaching the point of just giving the fuck up and saying to Hell with it. Which in doing so, I am sure will please some individuals on LF.
And by the way, one upside to all of this is when a pretty girl see me heading towards a door with my cane, she runs to open it for me and greets me with a beautiful smile. That really is true, what I just said .it happens frequently now. This make me realize there are many nice people in this world and we often times have different ways of discovering who they are.
I will close by saying that I hope I have not make too many spelling mistakes or grammatical errors in my response to you.
Enjoy your day. I am going to enjoy mine .I always do.
#24. To: Gatlin, an 84 year old mess, asking for pity... (#4)

Sorry kiddo, but I don't believe even 10% of what you post, and there is no excuse for the whining you indulge yourself in...
I'm only 81, so indeed, my days are made more enjoyable by reading your humorous pity parties...
As I've said before, please continue with your silly displays. You're very amusing,in a sick sort of way.

No, dont be concerned, you neednt give it a second thought and you are definitely not to worry about it. You would have needed to understand the post before you could believe it. Its okay with me since I am all too familiar with your acute comprehension problem. Youre still entitled to believe what little you were able to understand. And rest assuredly that I have no desire to ever in any way obtrude on any conscience clause.
and there is no excuse for the whining you indulge yourself in...
Ah, youre spot on correct with your keen mental discernment. Actually, there should be no reason for an explanation either. I do apologize, and offer a most sincere regretful acknowledgment.
I'm only 81,
I like that only qualifier to your age .it made me chortle. I truly hope that you are in good health and remain so. Enjoy your last few years and live life to the fullest extent. And always keep close in mind the old proverb: Man is here today and gone tomorrow."
so indeed, my days are made more enjoyable by reading your humorous pity parties...
That great. For I believe a man who has lived 81 years should have his last days made more enjoyable. I am delighted my stay with you has been so highly enjoyable to you and it was deeply meaningful to me. I considered it to be a learning experience like no other in my entire life. I have never before been in a position to associate with your class of people. I have learned a lot and it was indeed a hoot for me while doing so.
As I've said before, please continue with your silly displays.
You nicely displayed proper etiquette while requesting your deep heartfelt and warm desire for me to continue to post. You are to be commended for that. However I alone must decide if I shall continue to post or not and irrespective of your plea. In the upcoming short period of time, I will need to make a wise decision. And I will certainly take time to give it thorough consideration. During the time I held 12 ranks in 10 pay grades while gallantly and proudly serving our great nation, I have been well trained to never make an irresponsible snap decision. Being mentally keen and having greatly acute practical sense is a definite asset of ones life. You do agree, right? Of course you do .you must.
You're very amusing, in a sick sort of way.
I can definitely understand that feeling especially since I too find your statements are off-times sickly twisted yet unreasonably laughable. I am reminded of the proverbial idiom of Spanish origin. How does that go? Hmm, lets see. Oh, got it: the pot calling the kettle black. This saying, personifying kitchenware is used in order to make a point about hypocrisy. Oh, wait. Its not that I would ever say that you are a hypocrite .heavens forbid. I am just saying that I recalled this old idiom for some reason.
I have things to do, so I must go now .I will leave you with this great sagacious and insightful quote:
Never say goodbye because goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting. ~ J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan
So:
Until then, take care of yourself .I sincerely mean that.
