A 65-year-old male teacher has been busted for paying a teenage boy for sex in Brooklyn, police sources said Tuesday. Mervyn Affoon, 65, a teacher at the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism in Brooklyn — on the same campus as Erasmus HS — paid a 16-year-old boy roughly $400 after having sex with him several times at his East Flatbush apartment, NYPD sources said. A city Department of Education staffer since 2006, Affoon first began grooming his underage target in February while serving as his business teacher, sources said. Affoon touched the teen’s groin after class and groped him again in a school elevator a week later. sources said. The teen told cops that he consented to the second act and that the pair kissed in the same elevator the next day before setting up a tryst at Affoon’s home for the following week. They had sex during that rendezvous — and Affoon later gave the victim cash in order to buy food for himself, sources said. The pair had sexual relations several more times at Affoon’s home, and the teacher gave the teen a total of roughly $400 over that period, according to cop sources. The illicit meetings ended in June, and they didn’t see each other again until school began this year in September. The boy alerted his parents to the abuse this week, and Affoon — who earned $89,696 a year — was arrested Tuesday morning, cops said. He faces a slew of underage sex abuse raps. “These disturbing allegations have absolutely no place in our schools and represent behavior that violates the trust of students and families,” said DOE spokesman Michael Aciman. “Mr. Affoon was immediately removed from the classroom and reassigned away from students pending the outcome of this criminal matter.” Poster Comment: These disturbing allegations have absolutely no place in our schools and represent behavior that violates the trust of students and families.

A lot of bullying and illicit behavior happens in school bathrooms. Provided the privacy of the students is respected, this may be a better solution to stop bullying than many others.
I've checked the sidebar of threads... There's a troubling theme. You seem to have an unhealthy obsession. Q: Aren't these the type of cases the ACLU defends?? Those who most loudly denounce Fake News are typically those most aggressively disseminating it.
