Lawrence Lessig / Getty Images A Harvard Law professor posted an essay on social media recently that laid out a complicated process he believes could lead to Hillary Clinton still becoming President of the United States. Lawrence Lessig flirted with running for president as a Democrat in 2016, but dropped out before the primaries. After Donald Trump won the election, he led a failed effort to convince the electoral college to ignore the voters' will and install Clinton. In a Medium post last week, the professor insisted it was still possible for the eventual Democratic nominee to become president. Lessig said the first step was proving current president Donald Trump colluded with Russian agents to win the election."If that is shown, then the first step is obvious. Trump should resign or, if he doesn’t, he should be impeached." "The second step should be obvious as well: Pence should resign or, if he doesn’t, he should be impeached. He benefited from the criminal (and treasonous) conspiracy just as much as Trump," Lessig continued. With Trump and Pence out of the way, the presidency would then fall to Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan. But Lessig insisted it was possible Ryan would appoint Clinton his vice president and then resign. "He should nominate the person defeated by the treason of his own party, and then step aside, and let her become the President," he argued. "I realize this all sounds crazy right now," Lessig admitted. However crazy it might have sounded, outlets like Newsweek treated his ideas seriously, writing a piece headlined, "How Hillary Clinton Still Can, And Should, Become President After The Trump-Russia Investigation." Hilarious. The same process could get any of us "installed" (I noted it didn't say "elected") president. This guy is obviously obsessed with both Hillary and Trump. And his logic is even flawed. He acknowledges the Electoral College had and has every legal authority to vote contrary to the will of the popular vote, as he campaigned for them to do that exact thing. Yet at the same time, he contends: Okay so the real election Trump won was the Electoral College election. Were the Russians involved in tampering with that election? If not, then he has no basis for complaining about the election being fraudulently won by Trump.
If there is to be an installation of a new Prez, I would put odds at 1000-1 on Hillary. Barry baby won't miss out on this new extra-Constitutional maneuvering.

Of course he doesn't. Why else would he be a Harvard professor? In the entire history of the world,the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.
Most Harvard faculty are a lot smarter than this. Given that Lessig is often quoted as some legal genius, it's not bad to expose him as an Ivy League nutjob. You have to wonder how he is has such a reputation if this is a sample of his really lame thinking. Anyway, Ryan wouldn't have to be involved at all. First, win the House in 2018 (which Dems need anyway to impeach Trump). Then install Hitlery as Speaker, not Pelosi. Nothing in law requires the Speaker of the House to be an elected member of the House. Then impeach Trump and force him to resign. Do the same with Pence prior to him selecting a VP. The Speaker is third in the line of succession. Bam! Pres'dent Hitlery.
