In yet another mysterious circumstance surrounding the horrific mass shooting in Las Vegas, supposed “hero” security guard Jesus Campos literally disappeared ahead of a series of planned interviews on Thursday. Campos, the Mandalay Bay security guard who police claim was shot by Stephen Paddock just moments before the shooting, had planned to break his silence in at least five different television interviews but was no where to be found after the media had gathered to speak to him. “We were in a room and we came out and he was gone,” the union president told the media, according to a report by ABC News’ Stephanie Wash. “Campos is represented by the International Union, Security, Police and Fire Professionals of America, which did not respond to requests for comment from Fox News earlier this week,” reported Fox News. At the time of this writing, Campos whereabouts remain unknown which is obviously a startling development especially when you consider that he was supposed to fill in many of the open questions surrounding the largest mass shooting in American history. Paul Joseph Watson noted: Campos was set to fill in the blanks on many unanswered questions surrounding how the event played out. He was at the center of controversy after law enforcement issued a dramatic shift in the timeline of the Vegas narrative, initially claiming Campos was a “hero” for disrupting Paddock 10 minutes after he unloaded gunfire onto a crowd of 20,000 country music concertgoers. However, one week later police revealed Campos did not interrupt Paddock’s rampage, and instead was shot as he approached the shooter’s 32nd-story room a full six minutes before the shooting began. On Tuesday, an MGM Resorts International representative said the organization, which owns Mandalay Bay, took issue with police’s version of events. “We cannot be certain about the most recent timeline that has been communicated publicly, and we believe what is currently being expressed may not be accurate,” said MGM spokeswoman Debra DeShong. Amazingly, investigative journalist Laura Loomer, who broke open the story proving that the FBI had lied about when Paddock had checked into the hotel, actually traveled to Campos home and was greeted by a private security firm. One can only wonder what is actually going on?! Is Campos hiding from the authorities? Is he merely a patsy that wasn’t ready to be questioned by the mainstream media?

I said it a week ago: maybe the security guard is the second shooter and not the hero.
Okay, going with this scenario, it would explain confusion about that timeline. But he got shot. Maybe Pallard shot him, and the Campos shot him. In the mouth with a handgun. But that would require a physical struggle and evidence of that should be plentiful, I would think, including the blood of Campos on Pallard, and/or vice versa. Or maybe as you suggested Campos shot himself. But all of that would be very hard to hide from forensics. The 200 rounds fired into the hallway sounds a bit weird to me. That many rounds means the shooter wants to be sure, and apparently wasn't sure, as Campos was only shot once. Was it a single 200 round magazine or did Pallard change magazines or weapons? That many shots in the hallway should certainly have gotten the attention of others in the hotel, but Campos was the only one to call police? After 2 weeks, it seems we still don't have info on numbers and capacity of magazines in the room.

The revised timeline has renewed questions about whether better communication might have allowed police to respond more quickly and take out the gunman before he committed the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history. Worker Stephen Schuck says he was checking out a report of a jammed fire door on the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay when he heard gunshots and a hotel security guard, who had been shot in the leg, peeked out from an alcove and told him to take cover. “As soon as I started to go to a door to my left the rounds started coming down the hallway,” Schuck said. “I could feel them pass right behind my head. “It was kind of relentless so I called over the radio what was going on,” he said. “As soon as the shooting stopped we made our way down the hallway and took cover again and then the shooting started again.”
I see some reporting now that the security guard disappeared and went to some quickie walk-in clinic for a few hours.
