Oxford college bans 'harmful' Christian Union from freshers' fair An Oxford College has banned the Christian Union from its freshers’ fair on the grounds that it would be “alienating” for students of other religions, and constitute a “micro-aggression”. The organiser of Balliol’s fair argued Christianity’s historic use as “an excuse for homophobia and certain forms of neo-colonialism” meant that students might feel “unwelcome” in their new college if the Christian Union had a stall. Freddy Potts, vice-president of Balliol’s Junior Common Room (JCR) committee, said that if a representative from the Christian Union (CU) attended the fair, it could cause "potential harm" to freshers. Mr Potts, writing on behalf of the JCR's welfare committee, told the CU representative at Balliol, that their "sole concern is that the presence of the CU alone may alienate incoming students”. In email correspondence, seen by The Daily Telegraph, he went on: “This sort of alienation or micro-aggression is regularly dismissed as not important enough to report, especially when there is little to no indication that other students or committee members may empathise, and inevitably leads to further harm of the already most vulnerable and marginalised groups. “Historically, Christianity’s influence on many marginalised communities has been damaging in its methods of conversion and rules of practice, and is still used in many places as an excuse for homophobia and certain forms of neo-colonialism." He said that barring the Christian Union from the fair “may be a way of helping to avoid making any students feel initially unwelcome within Balliol”. Poster Comment:

Off-topic but I wanted to ask if you've been monitoring Stream.org? A general news site with a strong Christian focus. Very professional site, steady fresh content. Reminds me of a newer, better WND. Their military photo of the day today is of Marines firing a M777 howitzer. It's a good action shot with appealing aesthetic qualities. A week ago, they had a pic of a M109A6 Paladin howitzer firing in a German training exercise.

Never heard of it. I will check it out. Working with 3rd Cav Regiment right now. They are a Striker vehicle unit with M777 howitzers.
Certainly a historical and storied regiment. Sounds like a sweet post-military gig to me.

We are being herded into the biggest cattle car ever made: THE ENTIRE PLANET. It is the NWO Elites who are directing this holocaust. Those who are remaining will be slaves. It can be be said with great confidence that those who are directing this agenda are not Christians. If not, then to what creed, belief, or philosophy do they subscribe that supports this massive subversive plan? Thoughts? Is it merely about power? Punishment? Revenge?

My sister reminded me how I fell asleep on Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972) at a drive in movie theatre with family. I was just a small lad back then.

I'm a bit older and happened to catch the original flick on the Big Screen (with Mom.) Yeah, that end scene was cool/eerie. Then and now still. Of all the insane crusades out there for anyone who considers themselves "normal," "compassionate," or about "human rights," being Pro-Abortion, pro-PP can only be explained by a "soft" demon possession.

It's the result of of angry neurotic pseudointellectuals attempting to synthesize an importance by combining words in a way that is grammatically correct but irrelevent or contradictory to a reality which they hate. Look at it as a child's negative attention seeking by adults who have never been compelled to grow beyond the age of ten.
