(INTELLIHUB) — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department audio captured during last Sunday’s active shooting at Mandalay Bay resort and casino reveals how officers confirmed that there were at least two shooters firing down onto the crowd of concertgoers attending the Route 91 music festival. After a series of fully-automatic gunfire popped off and people started getting struck by flying rounds a team of law enforcement officers and another ‘element’ stormed the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay it was feared that there was an additional shooter on the 29th floor. “We have a four-man team up here and we have another element moving to us. We will need the 29th floor,” one officer said. “It sounds like it’s confirmed, there are at least two shooters with fully-automatic weapons.” Additionally, the audio recordings also reveal that a black Chevy dually pickup truck fled the parking lot during all of the commotions and that an older white male who was wearing fatigues and carrying a black bag was spotted retreating into a white RV by the Tropicana and the Motel 6. Pedestrians said that the man came from the area of the shooting. Pedestrians said that the man came from the area of the shooting and a team eventually converged on the white RV. At one point, a police car was commandeered by an unknown suspect while the two elements on the 32nd floor were cleared for 335 Zebra’s approach to the northernmost room. “This is 335 Zebra. That’s when 720 called in an confirmed he had a 12 man element entering the east side of the Mandalay Bay. He said he managed to get out of his room — which he said was Room 32134 — and made it safely downstairs but then hid in a bush for several hours after the shooting stopped. “I got outside safely and was hiding in bushes,” he said. “There were multiple people dead and multiple shooters. I was just hiding waiting for police to come get us.” Multiple shooters. The reports of multiple shooters should be examined, though in the chaos of a completely unexpected and deadly event like this, on-the-spot inaccuracies will be plentiful.

It appears the echo times were widely divergent from different bursts. Of course, the sound of different bursts were very different, possibly shot from different sides of the building, possibly different vantage points in that same room. That "room" was huge. Different - but the same. Both bursts start the same. Burst B was longer, and per the clear terminating echo at Burst B,T2 - probably aimed at a target farther away. I get the general idea. Just not the specifics of that diagram.
At the bottom of the image is an amplitude graph of the audio between 1:09 and 1:24 in the "Taxi Driver" video. Those 13 seconds contain two separate bursts (Burst A and Burst B) T1 indicates the final shot of each burst. The section of reverb in Burst B is being misinterpreted by folks as a second shooter at the far window. That misinterpretation is reinforced by the next burst at 1:42, where the murdered does appear to move to the far window. Note the difference between the start of that burst and burst B? The reverb section of Burst B *sounds like* the muffled audio that's recorded starting at 1:42 So two windows one murderer.

Both bursts start the same. At about 0:05s of the 18 min video (at #4), there is a very loud, clear burst, sounding very close to the taxi. At about 0:44s of the 18 min video, there is a muffled report of another burst, sounding as if it were much further away, much higher up, or perhaps at another side of the building. These two bursts are audibly very, very different.
T1: Time from start of video (1minute N seconds) at the time of the last shot in the burst. T2: Time from the start of the video (1minute N seconds) at the time of the echoed sound event corresponding to T1. TempF: the air temperature (72 degrees F)
Between 1:07 and 1:44 There are three bursts Burst A (from the left window) Burst B (from the left window) The Burst begining at 1:40 is, I believe, from the right window - after the murderer moved there. The reverb section of burst B *sounds like* the burst from around the corner at 1:40. I think that's what's being misinterpreted. It's reverb - not a second shooter at the far window.

At 1m30s it reports, "We have an active shooter... we have an active shooter INSIDE THE FAIRGROUNDS!!" At 2m48s it reports, "Control, be advised SHOTS ARE COMING FROM GATE 7...SHOTS ARE COMING FROM GATE 7!" At 3m28s it reports, "we're seeing multiple flashes IN THE MIDDLE OF Mandalay Bay on the North side...kind of a...on the West tower but TOWARDS THE CENTER of the Casino...it's like one of the MIDDLE FLOORS" At 4m:07s it reports, "a flashing coming up from about a THIRD OF THE WAY UP...CENTER TOWER Mandalay Bay...be advised!" At 5m10s, someone ask if anyone has eyes on the shooter, and the response is, "...about the 15th floor on the Mandalay Bay...facing...um...the whole lot...

I think that's what's being misinterpreted. It's reverb - not a second shooter at the far window. These two bursts are audibly very, very different. I am specifically speaking of the bursts and not the echoes. As shots were taken from more than one vantage point, the echo times of bursts may not be comparable. The echos may have returned from different objects at different distances. The echo time differences would only indicate the shots were from different vantage points aimed in different directions. It would say nothing of the number of shooters, one or two. It does not measure the distance of the shooter(s) to the same distant object. They could do echo tests to see if both echo times can be duplicated from the 32nd floor vantage point to the taxi location.
Yep. That's because the murderer moved to a different window. The section of audio I focused on (1:07 to 1:24) contains a section where, in Burst B it *sounds* like ~both windows are being fired from at the same time. The reverb in Burst B isn't a second shooter... it's just reverb - in a longer burst with a more distant aiming point.
He referred to one of the two shot out windows on the 32nd floor. The taxi video did not show the 32nd floor and the flashes lasted the length of a gun burst. 7m25s "There is a strobe coming from one of those windows on the East side." The video provides a closeup of the 32nd floor windows. Cori Langdon's ground level video is just about in the middle right over the entrance, not near the two 32nd floor windows on the East side.

You mean like a different window - One of the TWO only open/broken windows in the hotel? If there were two murderers, why wouldn't they both be firing at the same time? There's no audio that I've seen/heard so far that demonstrates two weapons being fired at the same time.
Hundreds of feet from the flashing above entrance caught on video by the taxi driver, and about 25 floors up. The flashing in the taxi video is unrelated to the 32nd floor or the East end of the building.

No, I mean stop the 18m video at #4 dead at 5m00s and describe what is in the picture. The taxi is moving at ground level, there is a guard rail there, there appears to be a support stanchion for a vehicle entranceway, and the flash came from right above the stanchion. With or without broken windows, the flashes are there. The distraction about the 32nd floor does not make them go away, or move them to the 32nd floor. They occur remarkably at the same time as a very loud gun burst. And then they are gone, and they do not keep going. I did not say the flashes came through a window at all. I can't see what is there. It is dark. There is no way of knowing if the video is authentic, but the flashes are there.
Any specific reason why you seem so committed to the lone gunman theory?

The cab driver video is pretty good evidence to start with. What does it say? From what I've seen/heard: One murderer. I'd like to know more about his "gambling"/laundery activities.
Admit it. -- At this point, you're jumping to conclusions. And we all need to know a hell of a lot more about everything this creep was doing in the past.

Lots more conclusions than available evidence will support. About all I know for sure is that two windows are broken on the 32nd floor, lots of weapons were there, and a dead body was there when they entered the room about an hour after shooting ended. There were lots of reports on the police radio of shots from other locations. There was at least one shooter. I have insufficient information to rule out more than one shooter.

I was a bit surprised about the (limited, granted) info the sheriff handed out the first couple of days. But then he started getting weird, and the remarks he made on his last day were bizarre, -- he actually seemed to be pleading with who, the public?, to help him with the investigation, as if maybe some Fed agencies were interfering... That's the impression I got... You?
Precisely. I also have some problems with the unexplained narrative they are selling. 1. On the police radio, control was saying forget the wounded, we've got to get to and neutralize the shooter. They ran up to the 32nd floor and accessed the hallway a few feet from the room door. Then they took an hour to breach the door. 2. Paddock shot for 10 minutes. He had lots of rifles and lots and lots of ammo. And then he just stopped shooting. And then, at some time during the hour it took to breach the door, he shot himself.

Elapsed Time: T2 minus T1, the number of seconds between the last shot, and the echo of the last shot in each burst.
Total Distance: Elapsed Time * FPS = the total distance traveled between T1 and T2.
Echo Distance = The distance the echo traveled from the aiming point back to the point of origin.
