Obviously, something is wrong in the reporting about the father, although the surviving son does name his father by one of the aliases listed in small print on the Most Wanted poster: I found a website claiming this Paddock was on the "10 Most Wanted List: 06-10-1969 to 05-05-1977" and was dropped as no longer qualifying to the FBI for the 10 Most Wanted designation, no further reason given. Clear as mud.

The first LEO story was the usual "Lone Wolf" "not terrorism", then you post ISIS (CT). This looks pretty real to me.... The main point being, don't trust the police spokeshole who comes on 5 minutes after the incident and acts like there has been a through investigation and it's a lone wolf, not terrorist, or whatever.
I'm merely reporting that ISIS claimed him. While ISIS record on claiming credit is not faultless, it seems overall reliable in attacks in recent years. It is still too early to know much. These cases always have a lot of false reporting in the first few days. News outlets float any irresponsible rumor as fact. Or they just make up crap as clickbait for the gullible. This alleged shooter is a big question mark. He was known to have a few handguns, maybe one long gun according to his brother who said he wasn't religious or political. Yet we are told he had 10-20 AR15/AK47 semiautos or full-auto guns in his hotel room? And he just happened to commit suicide, leaving no note? Something here simply does not add up, even if I'm not ready to start buying into any of the usual CT nonsense. For instance, if he did have 10-20 semi-auto guns, why the apparent pauses to reload and continue firing? A lot about this makes no sense yet.
One answer might be that he had several semi-autos with the mechanized 'Crank fire' devices, along with high cap mags, or even 50 rd drums. Wouldn't be that hard to fire 4/500 rounds in the time he had.
The pauses to reload don't make much sense if he had 10-20 assault rifles. Put one down, pick up another and keep firing. Otherwise why cart around all those extra guns if you aren't going to use them? Well, I suppose we'll learn more details.
