With Bannon gone the Swamp has won. What's the Swamp? Foremost, its the military-security Deep State, who has been running America's many wars and coups, foreign and domestic, for decades. They want, of course, more wars and Bannon was in the way. Just as foremost, the Swamp is the financial empire of America run by ultra billionaires who hold vast monetary-industrial powers in the U.S. and around the world. A lot of these people live in shadowy penthouses of New York towers.
Here's how it works: The globalist tycoons do their thing, which is run the world as they see fit, make an infinite amount of money. But when they see trouble they can't solve, they call the military-security Deep State bosses. Bang you suddenly get another regime overthrow, another military intervention, another war. The job of the POTUS is to smooth out, coordinate the wishes of these two bosses of the Swamp.
As a recent example take Venezuela. Since the drastic drop in oil prices the country has been marred in all kinds of epic troubles. But suddenly Trump called for military intervention into poor rioting Venezuela. Why, but why? To any normal person it's insane. But not to the globalists. See any country in trouble is highly profitable. They can go in and buy up everything dirt cheap. But they can't without the Pentagon punch a hole into the country, kill a couple of thousand people, install a puppet as president. As soon as this is done the globalists can go in and plunder. It's classic British Empire war, colonize, plunder. So somebody from the Swamp made a phone call to Trump and bang, he announced 'all options on the table including military' with regard to Venezuela.
Bannon wanted to take on the Swamp. He is just an WH employee with only advisory power. The moment the POTUS is squeezed Bannon is gone. The departure of Bannon after only half a year confirms the fundamental nature of U.S. political power. The Swamp, fully un-elected, is firmly and permanently in charge. Elections, democracy has no real meaning. It's purpose is to put up a show for the media, to fool the people they have a say. They have none. Not even how much of the trillions dollar of tax they must pay to finance the Swamp so that they have more trillions.
So without democracy, and indeed without true capitalism since the root of all financial and market powers are tightly controlled by a group of globalists, what is the proper description of the American nation? How about this:
