He can barely even play guitar - in fact much of the early Byrds recordings were supplemented with musicians from The Wrecking Crew, a loose-knit circle of Los Angeles' top studio session musicians whose services were constantly in demand during their heyday in the 1960s and early 1970s. Second - Crosby comes from an elitist family with ties to the military/intelligence network and the ruling elite. I have no real opinion about Nugents musical ability because what little I have heard from him isn't a style that appeals to me,but he is absolutely spot ON if he claims his career was hindered and he was refused contracts and connections because of his political viewpoint. Nobody would have ever heard of Little Brucie Springsteen if he had expressed the same political viewpoints as Nugent instead of being the leftist weasel he is. It also amounts to the wealthy using their privileged positions to restrict what the public can hear. Granted,that might be a bit of a stretch with Nugent's music,but the principle is the same regardless of who it is "speaking" to the public.
