President Donald Trump, sold to the public as an “outsider” during the 2016 presidential election, endorsed RINO Mitch McConnell stooge, establishment-backed Luther Strange in the upcoming Alabama Senate primary. Trump’s endorsement of Strange is over two solid constitutional conservatives, Congressman Mo Brooks and the “Ten Commandments” Judge Roy Moore, who has been leading in recent polls. Trump announced his endorsement is a tweet Tuesday night, an endorsement FOX News characterized as “surprising.” Senator Luther Strange has done a great job representing the people of the Great State of Alabama. He has my complete and total endorsement! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 9, 2017 While the endorsement is highly disturbing, it should not be viewed as “surprising.” Trump endorsed establishment RINO Mitch McConnell and his “F” Liberty Score (presently 42% out of 100) over Tea Party-backed Matt Bevin in McConnell’s 2014 re-election bid (Bevin went on to become Governor of Kentucky, so he came out just fine). As FOX News noted, Luther Strange became a temporary U.S. Senator under less than favorable circumstances (understated): Strange, the state’s former attorney general, was temporarily appointed to the seat in April after Sessions joined the Trump administration. His opponents have used that appointment from former Gov. Robert Bentley against him: Strange’s office was investigating Bentley at the time the governor made him senator. Bentley has since resigned from office in scandal. Judge Roy Moore was endorsed this week by famous actor and conservative Chuck Norris, who said Moore “tough, tested and has a spine of steel.” “Judge Moore has never backed down from standing for what is right, and that’s exactly what he’ll do in the U.S Senate,” Norris said in a statement. “That’s why the Washington establishment is spending millions trying to defeat Judge Moore.” Over at RedState, Luther Strange is described as one of the GOP establishment’s “loyal pawns,” which Judge Roy Moore is reported as “Mitch McConnell’s worse nightmare.” Mo Brooks has vowed to fight for funding for Trump’s border wall. “And if I have to filibuster on the Senate floor, I’ll even read the King James Bible until the wall is funded,” Brooks said in a recent ad. Brooks has been endorsed by Trump loyalists including Laura Ingraham and Sean Hannity. The endorsement of McConnell’s stooge is a slap in the face to Ingraham and Hannity. It will be interesting to see if either will criticize the endorsement. Donald Trump is not a rock solid conservative, despite the dreams of his followers, although some of his policies are. He can be persuaded to do conservative things but it’s not his core nature and never has been as exhibited by his inconsistent stance on every issue over the years. The latest poll shows Judge Roy Moore with an 8-point lead over Luther Strange, 30-22 percent, with Mo Brooks in third with 19 percent. The election is August 15 and is likely to result in a runoff with neither of the three Republican candidates garnering over 50 percent of the vote. Meanwhile, swamp creature McConnell rewarded President Trump’s endorsement by stating he has “excessive expectations” with Congress because he “has not been in this line of work before.” As we’ve been told, McConnell plays the “long game,” a game so long none of us will live long enough to see its ending. Poster Comment: Judge Roy Moore is leading in the polls. The Trump swamp critters will be forced to look at the 10 Commandments, and endure Bible readings in the Senate.
