On Friday, Susan Thompson was visiting her neighbor, Mrs. Newby, when she discovered that the 72-year-old had taken care of 11 copperhead snakes that she found under her home in Lequire, Oklahoma. Thompson said Newby had used a shotgun, a shovel, and a rake handle to get rid of the snakes. She posted a photo to her Facebook page with the caption, "Mrs Newby killed 11 copperheads last night at her house! She's a snake killer if you need help call her! She is 72 years old!" And Facebook users were full of praise for Thompson's neighbor. One woman even commented, "I love Mrs. Newby. Does she need more shells?"
That is a granny anyone could be proud of. Buy her some more shells !!!

Yeah, it is a cute story. Reminds me of my wifes maternal grandmother ( passed several years ago ). She lived in her small trailer out on a ridge in WVa. Killed plenty of snakes out there. One night some guys were drinking, and went out the ridge, and had car trouble. It was way after midnight. They went to her trailer and beat on the door. Granny came to the door with a .38 tucked into her belt, and holding a 12 ga shotgun. They decided to walk out, and came back the next day in the daylight, LOL. They still tell that story around there. She was a very, very sweet lady, but she did not take any shit from anyone I would guess the lady in the OP is that way. Did she have a government issued permit? If not, expect the canary clan to call for this this brave woman to be fined and/or arrested for not seeking permission from the gooberment or paying a "snake-killing fee".
