Both in a statement and a CNN interview fired White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus has continued to unrelentingly suck up to the least popular president in the history of polling.
In his statement announcing his resignation, Priebus said, It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to serve this President and our country. I want to thank the President for giving me this very special opportunity. I will continue to serve as a strong supporter of the Presidents agenda and policies. I cant think of a better person than General John Kelly to succeed me and I wish him Gods blessings and great success.
Priebus managed to take his sucking up to a whole new level on CNN:
Reince Priebus is the former Chairman of the RNC. If one wants to understand why the Republican Party will never stand up to Trump, watch the video and read the statement above. The Republican Party itself has become a spineless operation that has no guts at all.
Trump is out of control because no one in the GOP has the backbone to stand up to him, which means that the only way Donald Trump will ever be checked is if Democrats and the American people stand together to put a halt to this president.
Title: Even After Being Fired And Humiliated Spineless Reince Priebus Continues To Suck Up To Trump
No surprise. Priebus is thinking of his inevitable book contract, his high-dollar speaking fees, his possible future as a lobbyist and/or FoxNews or other news outlet contract guest.

Ya think?
The guy will be paid MILLIONS to dish on Trump. Gladly.
The guy will be paid MILLIONS to dish on Trump. Gladly.
I don't expect that at all. He'll make less money if he becomes a Trump-basher. And it would hurt his ability to work as a lobbyist or get a sweet gig on Fox News or other news outlets.
Maybe he'll merely *leak* the bashing or revelations that paint Trump in a bad light.
Prius reminds me of the antagonist role in Kevin Costner's 'One Way Out' some years ago as the aide of a powerful Senator.
True -- Prius' Lobbyist influence could be severely curtailed by playing that game. Hard to know what he will do given his loyalties to Ryan, McTurtle, and the RNC's establishment shadow-overlords who hate Trump.
Priebus is the most successful RNC chair since Haley Barbour. Barbour left the RNC, then did some media appearances for years as he built up his lobbying business before he finally got elected governor in his home state.
Priebus will up to score a sweet book deal (like from Regnery, owned by Murdoch like nearly every book published that gets flacked on Fox News). The title will be something like Why I Love Kissing Donald's Ass So Much. Along with that, he scores a contracted schedule with Fox News for a couple years at a minimum of $1M a year (hell, even Juan Williams gets more than that).
And he would still be able to score $10M-$20M over the next year or two as a paid speaker. And he could still run for office later, like Barbour did. Ron Johnson in WI says he won't run again so that seat will be open in 5 years. Just as an example.
There's very little upside for Priebus financially in dishing any real dirt on Trump or his WH.
Nearly everyone leaves the WH looking to earn big in soft jobs. It's why they take those jobs when they could nearly always get better salary/hours/perks, etc. They do it for the post-WH payoffs. And to put their kids on the fast track to Harvard/Yale/Princeton, their wives into cushy sinecure jobs in D.C., etc.
