Senator JoBesides releasing the Mayo Clinic’s statement, Mr. McCain’s office released its own statement saying he “appreciates the outpouring of support he has received over the last few days. He is in good spirits as he continues to recover at home with his family in Arizona.”hn McCain, Arizona Republican, has been diagnosed with brain cancer, according to a Mayo Clinic statement released Wednesday evening by his office. According to the Mayo Clinic, the cancer was discovered after some surgery last week to remove a blood clot above his left eye. “Subsequent tissue pathology revealed that a primary brain tumor known as a glioblastoma was associated with the blood clot,” the Clinic said. “The Senator and his family are reviewing further treatment options with the Mayo Clinic care team. Treatment options may include a combination of chemotherapy and radiation,” the world-renowned hospital said. The 80-year-old senator’s blood clot had been the latest health issue for the former Vietnam war POW, though the Clinic said the senator’s overall health is fine and he is “recovering from his surgery amazingly well.” His absence from the Senate forced a delay in the vote on a health-care bill on which Republicans could not afford to have any member be absent. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell later pulled the bill anyway when several other Republicans began announcing they’d vote against it.

The Governor of Arizona should choose Gatlin as interim replacement Senator, until a special election can be held. He's probably the only one in AZ crazy enough to fill McCain's shoes. Finally. Thank You, Jesus!
Would you say the same about Fidel Castro or Kim Jong Un? I don't wish him well; he's a decrepit old asshole who's been harming both me and my nation for many years and I've been powerless to stop his assaults, so cancer will have to do. Politicians take great delight in getting away with any damn thing they wish, excluding themselves from the hardships they impose on others - so fvck him; I take delight in the old bastard's glioblastoma. It's Justice from above as far as I'm concerned. Screw him; we'd have been better off if Vietnam had kept him, because his idiot constituents kept sending him back to attack our liberties, assets and free enterprise. It's a good day.
No I wouldn't comment if it was Fidel or Kimmy. Ok if it was KimmyI would be happy he is dead.
I hope he recovers well enough to live out the remainder of his days in dignity and comfort with his family. It would be best for him and the country if he were to leave public life and do that at his home
