Wow. Looks like President el-Sisi is sending a forceful message to the Islamic militants who slaughtered 28 Christians this morning by flying airstrikes over the camps where they trained in Libya:
BREAKING: Officials say Egyptian fighter jets have struck militant bases in eastern Libya in response to attack on Christians.

Awesome!

President Trump also released a statement on the slaughter of these Christians:

A very good statement from Trump. Much better than any statement we ever got from Obama, that’s for sure.

I especially like how he makes the statement that “the bloodletting of Christians must end and all who aid their killers must be punished.”

Poster Comment:

Al Sisi is willing to go the distance to protect the Copts and suppress the Muslims if we just back him. And he's willing to extend his operations from Egypt into eastern Libya too.(1 image)

Violence continues to rise in Egypt between government forces and Islamist militants. Recently, 15 Egyptian police officers were killed in an attack by Ansar Bait Al-Maqdis, a terror group that pledged allegiance to ISIS in late 2014.

Egypt has now responded aggressively with a military operations in northern Sinai, using both ground and air assets. The following video shows gun camera footage from F-16 fighter jets, Apache attack helicopters, and armed unmanned drones. Reports indicate that at least 60 people were killed in the strikes and over 30 suspected ISIS dwellings were demolished.

It is about time someone saw this for what it is, it is a religious war, a war against all those of different opinion, whether they be christian, jewish or of a different muslim sect, and all these killers and those who arm them, abet them, support them and give assent to their actions must be rooted out and that includes the corrupt governments who masquarade and promote these proxy wars. You know who I mean

Trump set the tone well at the Saudi summit, followed by Al Sisi and Jordan's King Abdullah who echoed the same line. This action today is Al Sisi following through. In addition, you see the video of him striking cop-killers in the Sinai as well.

I read elsewhere that Al Sisi also arrested over 400 ISIS-affiliated terrorists within Egypt this week and has sent them before military tribunals.

Al Sisi is cleaning house, as much as Erdogan in Turkey. Too bad Erdogan is such a lousy ally to us and a full-blown dictator to boot. Al Sisi is so much easier for us to deal with, across the board.

He finds them on a regular basis.

Some of them are those arrested previously but not executed. After they get arrested for radical activities a few times, they're considered ringleaders and then they are more likely to be executed or sentenced to long prison terms.

He was quite good at everything except attacking his enemy.     : )

Much as I find fault with Lincoln on other counts, I would say Abe was far too lenient and should have fired him much sooner. It almost certainly would have saved tens of thousands of lives on both sides.

We shouldn't ignore how crude the Egyptians can be. It is, after all, a major reason why we kept "rendering" suspects to Egypt to be tortured for information, just one of our torture-interrorgation allies along with Poland, Romania, Latvia, Thailand, etc.

Even so, Al Sisi is Egypt's best hope for restoring its economy and rule of law, something they desperately need if things are not going to deteriorate further.

NATO's meddling and its insane Arab Spring initiatives to depose Ghaddafi has made a major contribution to the challenges Al Sisi faces now. These are not unconnected events.
