A viral video involving a man hitting a woman for calling him a racial slur has sparked conversation online on what’s an acceptable reaction to a testy situation. The incident was uploaded to the web May 5, showing a man arguing with a woman about her constant use of the n-word. During the nearly minute-long video, the woman puts her hand in the man’s face as he tries to get off the bus. After a few taunts, the man warns the woman about her racist vernacular by saying, “Mind your mouth cuz, say it one more time, say it one more time.” Not surprisingly, the woman continues and the man slaps in her in the face before getting off the bus. The woman quickly calls for the police after she allegedly received an injury to her eye. “You shouldn’t have called him a ni**er,” the man who filmed the incident tells the woman. The video was uploaded to Facebook and has amassed over 3 million views with commenters split on the man’s reaction. “As a white male, I probably would have slapped the sh*t out of her for him,” a commenter from North Carolina said. “But hey, racism doesn’t exist in our country anymore according to most. Take a kid from every race and put them in a room together and they will all play with one another you till their parents tell them not to.” Meanwhile, there were others who believed he could’ve handled the situation in a different way. “Black, white, brown, man woman no one should get a pass for being disrespectful, I wouldn’t have slapped her, but I ain’t mad that he did,” a Dallas commenter explained. “We live in a world where people have no respect for their fellow humans, now she wants play victim, I don’t feel pity for racist, racism is evil, I don’t believe in hitting women but her being a woman is no excuse for her racism.” It isn’t known if the woman filed a police report on the incident. What people are saying is that violence is acceptable if someone pisses you off! Great. When am I aloud to act when people piss me off??
The article claims the woman put her hand in the man's face as he "tries to get off the bus", implying she was impeding him. The insult aside, it appears from the description that this woman did, in fact, get physical first.
Watching the vid, the woman sounded drunk or something, and the slap was pretty hard.
Then if that was the case it would have been her assaulting him. I think what they meant to say is she put her hand up like get out of my face gesture. The fact she called him names sucks but is not a reason to attack someone.
I have seen plenty of those people of all race and sex. I have known some to be permanent asshates.
Once again, in order to answer the question I have to ask myself, "What if the roles were reversed?" What if a black woman insulted a white man on the bus and he hit her? Would that be OK? Now, doesn't that make the answer easier?
Kids will play with anything, regardless its limitations or poisonness in later life. Hell, during the late 50s, millions of them even accepted Howdy Doody as an acceptable playmate and entertaining role model. Many of them today still think it's Howdy Doody time.

Let's diagnose the situation,ok? The guy is wearing pants with the belt below his ass crack,he wants to slap a white woman,but is afraid to do so until the bus is stopped so he can run away before she has a chance to hit him back, Sounds to me like all she did was identify him. I was riding a bus once in Denver when a elderly white woman asked a black guy maybe 18 years old to turn down the music on his boom box,yes,that WAS a long time ago,and his response to her was "Bleep you,you old honkie bitch!" I had better luck after politely asking him if he thought he could heard his rap crap better if I stuck the boom box inside his bleeping head. For some odd reason he turned it off and got off the bus at the next stop. And I freely admit to having told several black men over the years that "Yes,you ARE a nigger,but don't get mad at ME about it. All *I* did was correctly identify you. It was YOU that made yourself into a nigger." In the entire history of the world,the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.
We must have watched different videos. The one I watched had his asking the bus driver to stop and open the door,and THEN he slapped her and ran away like the cowardly little bitch he is. Ok,does anyone know why that goobers face is blurred on the video? What possible excuse could they have for doing that? They can't be afraid of a lawsuit because it was a public place,and the video CLEARLY shows a unprovoked physical attack on the female security guard.

The vid seems to show no sign of the woman obstructing or physically intimidating the guy. It was only words so even though she appeared drunk, the guy was in the wrong.
What I wrote was based on the article description before watching the vid. I agree with you. The guy timed the hit so he could run away. The desc in the article in misleading at best.
Short of maybe knocking one out that is trying to kill herself in order to save her,or actually defending yourself from violent attack by her,it's pretty damn hard to justify a man hitting a woman.
