As the Trump White House continues to endure yet another evening in crisis mode, this perhaps its darkest night of the soul yet, reporters assigned to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue say tensions are running high.
Following the briefest of briefings in which National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster publicly addressed the report that President Trump had revealed highly classified information to Russian officials by saying little else beyond, "I was in the room, it didn't happen," staff members were left to scurry about after he spoke for approximately one minute.
One America News reporter Trey Yingst first spotted Press Secretary Sean Spicer, chief White House counsel Steve Bannon, Deputy White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and White House Communications Director Mike Dubke walking towards the Cabinet Room.
Shouting then reportedly began to spring from the direction of the room, as per BuzzFeed.
According to the Associated Press, a tweet about "the noise" prompted staffers to crank up the volume on a nearby television to possibly keep anyone from hearing any noise like parents careening towards a divorce.
According to CNN reporter Jim Acosta, Sanders said she didn't know anything about any shouting that may have occurred.
Meanwhile, in the briefing room, the following exchange was overheard by BuzzFeed's Adrian Carrasquillo:
"I just realized it's Monday."
"I guess it doesn't matter what day it is."
