libertysflame.com is rapidly becoming both anti-Trump and irrelevant.

Saturday April 29th, 2017 marked the end of President Trumps first 100 days in office.

The list of his accomplishments was overwhelming, but, imagine how much more he could have accomplished for We, The People, had he not had to contend with:

A hostile House lead by never Trumper Paul Ryan,

A hostile senate led by never Trumper Mitch McConnell,

The hostile never Trump Fake News, not just in Maine but nationwide,

The hostile lawyers playing reporters and reporterettes in the White House press corps, or are they reporters and reporterettes playing hostile never Trump lawyers?

A hostile court system where two bit district judges get to overrule the President of These Uninted States on matters of national defense.

While we Trumpsters cannot do much about the judges and the fake news today, we can deal with the Congress come November 2018, for on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. During the mid-term elections, all 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 33 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate will be up for grabs.

Until then, we can boycott every advertiser of every fake news entity.

Whatever Trump hasn't accomplished, he has proposed. And ALL fit his campaign promises.

I don't fault Trump for Congress' inactions, nor do I fault him for a hostile judicial system and a hostile press.

It's been 100 days and we do have Gorsuch -- a huge win. 30 Executive Orders overturning much of Obama's mess. Waiting on the courts for the refugee and sanctuary cities decisions. Healthcare is close and Congress has a firm tax reform blueprint. The wall will be built.

What's not to like?

What's not to like?

If he signs and does not veto the budget.

"If he signs and does not veto the budget."

You gotta pick your fights. Why shut down the government over a couple of small issues? Shut it down in September when the entire budget comes up.

The slaughter of between 35,000 and 70,000 little human babies trapped in the womb, is not a small issue.

Trump ran on a platform of making abortion illegal?

Trump ran on a platform of making abortion illegal?

He ran on a pro-life platform and said that he would defund Planned Parenthood.

He said he would build a Border Wall.

He said that he would renegotiate trade treaties with China in favor of the US.

He said we were going to stay out of Syria.

He said a lot of things that were very different from what Republicans or Democrats were saying.

And I and millions of others believed him.

He was never shy of confrontation, and he said he was a great dealmaker. Look at the confrontation-free crap sandwich of a deal that he supports now, as he asks for money to plunge into foreign entanglements and lets China be for their "support" against North Korea.

On a variety of issues he said the equivalent of "Read my lips, no new taxes", just like HW Bush did. That's WHY he got elected. That's WHY I gave the Republican brand - which I hate - one more chance.

I was duped. So many of us were.

He's not doing what he promised us. He's doing damn near the OPPOSITE of it.

He got power from us promising one set of things, but then sided with our enemies to do the opposite.

He broke faith. We read his lips, and they told us lies.

This Republican-controlled budget funds Planned Parenthood. He said he would defund them. Trump is a liar. The Republicans are liars: they are not pro-life.

Those of us who believed him have been had.

Never again. Never, ever again.

"And I and millions of others believed him."

Seems to me that you believed all this would be accomplished in the first 100 days. Since it didn't happen, you're prepared to give up and call Trump a liar.

Fine. That's your opinion. Maybe Hillary will run again and this time you can vote for her. THEN you can whine about all the shit not getting done in your timeframe.

No. I would just stay home and not vote. When the alternative is Democrats or Republicans, the solution is to look at the third parties. If they are not acceptable either (and currently they are not; the Reform Party was), then the solution is to go have lunch, not to vote for any of the unacceptable.

If you don't vote then you have no say on this forum or anywhere else. Maybe that's for the better if you continue to post your irrational bullshit.

Your party is the one that lies to you, not me.

How many times have we heard "Next time...", "Next time..."

Next time it's always the same: "Times' not right [for some bullshit tactical reason], next time..."

Time has run out. This time, or no time.

My "irrational bullshit", and that of millions of others like me are the reason Trump won and the Republicans are in power.

The Republicans have broken faith and refuse to fight, refuse to do what they said. So it will be me and millions of other "irrationals" like me who strip the power from them in the next election.

September is not the time to fight, a bare year from the next elections. NOW is the time to fight. The only people you Republicans want to fight are people like me - the people who put you there.

Know why the Democrats are crowing that they just won big? Because they DID.

Well, this wasn't the time. This was a stupid little continuing resolution to keep the government open. It needed 60 votes, forcing a compromise. This is what compromise looks like.

You want the Republicans to act like dictators because "they won"? Fine. Then nothing will get passed. That what you want?

Quit acting like a child.

The Republicans have the power to ram through everything by ending the filibuster rule.

They choose not to.

And so none of those promises they make will ever happen, and the Democrats will set the standards of what is acceptable and what is not.

May as well have Democrats, then, than give Republicans power, have them refuse to do it, and see them lie through their teeth.

"The Republicans have the power to ram through everything by ending the filibuster rule."

THAT'S your solution? Might as well ask for a magic wand.

"And so none of those promises they make will ever happen, and the Democrats will set the standards of what is acceptable and what is not."

Oh? They have less power than the Republicans. How will they be able to "set the standards"? You're making no sense. Again.

With the filibuster in place, Republicans and Democrats will have to negotiate. Just as they did recently. Just as they used to do years ago.

THAT'S your solution? Might as well ask for a magic wand.

There are two tools.

The filibuster rule can be suspended by a simple majority vote. The Republicans have the majority. If they refuse to do it, it is the Republicans who are refusing to act.

If the Democrats will not yield, then let the government shut down and keep it shut, potentially for weeks, months, until September and beyond.

If the Republicans are unwilling to shut the government down, the Democrats can and will do exactly as they have done all along: demand whatever they want and hold the GOP hostage. And when the GOP meekly submits, the Democrats win.

If you don't want to cancel the filibuster rule, then make the Democrats actually have to filibuster, and physically wear them out, waiting for a procedural slip.

"The filibuster rule can be suspended by a simple majority vote. The Republicans have the majority. If they refuse to do it, it is the Republicans who are refusing to act."

Yep. All true.

But the filibuster has been around since the founding and it's unlikely to change. And you want to change it just so we can defund Planned Parenthood? It's been funded for almost 50 years, yet you want to shut down the government if we don't defund it right now. Lord save us from people like you.

And when the Democrats become the majority, then what? How do you think we stopped Obama? Good looks?

"If the Democrats will not yield, then let the government shut down and keep it shut, potentially for weeks, months, until September and beyond."

Shut it down why? Because we didn't get 100% of what we want -- even though we only control 54% of the Senate? Then nothing gets done. No wall. No nothing.

And for the following months, every day on the news, the MSM will picture starving children and blame the Republicans. Say goodbye to the White House and Congress.

THEN you can bitch and moan about how terrible the Democrat government is. THEN you'll be happy.

We could always stop Obama the way that the Democrats have stopped Trump cold: the courts. We have controlled the courts since 1969, and we still do.

Obama could control the government, but be struck down by the courts.

Your, and the Republican strategy, amounts to saying "We can do nothing at all and have to accede to all Democrat demands on every point of concern to our base -- borders, abortion, everything, until we have the White House, both Houses of Congress, with 60 votes in the Senate).

And even then we can be stopped on anything by a single Democrat judge in the 9th Circuit, and we will obey his rule.

In other words, we also have to control the entire judiciary. And then, once we have absolute power, we can make changes. Until then, we just have to cave on all of our fundamental beliefs, because the Democrats never concede anything on theirs.

Somehow, the Democrats have managed to transform the country even when they control only one branch of government, but Republicans can't get anything done with a Constitutional Convention Calling 35 State Legislatures.

Your approach is a perfect strategy for Republicans, because they are and always have been about supporting the interests of a narrow crony capitalist class. THOSE people get everything they want out of Republicans. The Republicans "compromise" on their promises on the big social issues that get them elected and turn out duped voters.

Trump really duped me. I thought he was going to fight. And he will, when the time comes, to repeal the Esttate Tax. You just watch him.

Anyway, you're content to follow these shitstains. I was deceived by Trump. I'd already given up on the GOP by the time of Romney. I truly thought Trump was different. He fought the media and the Democrats and his own rivals so hard in the primaries and in the election, I thought he was going to come in and fight for those very issues that differentiated him, that caused me and so many other Michiganders and Wisconsinites to vote for him and the Republicans.

This betrayal is the most awful of all, because I really believed him and I really trusted him. Now I realize that I was used, just as were the rest of us. He said he would fight. He didn't. He rolled over. The Republicans rolled over. The Democrats control nothing, but they just got everything.

The Republicans just funded Planned Parenthood. The Republicans just denied funding for the Wall. They control Congress. They own it. The President says it's a good deal. He owns it. He'll sign the bill once it passes.

It's a completel betrayal. It's George H W Bush raising taxes after he told us to read his lips. We never forgave him. We're not going to forgive Trump.

Republicans cannot rule. We gave them power to fight for an agenda, and we have Democrat rule anyway. I would rather have Democrats who truthfully say what they're going to do than to have Republicans who lie EVERY SINGLE TIME. They NEVER do what they promise.

If they don't find their courage NOW and stop this bill, if Trump signs it and doesn't veto it, I am gone forever. And with me, millions of others. Never, ever again.

I'm not interested in excuses. Deliver the results you promised and that we voted for, or politically die as a party in 2018.
