Title: Tension Builds: Vladimir Putin Mobilizes Troops and Equipment To North Korean Border: “Fears U.S. Is Preparing To Attack

We can all pretend like there is nothing going on around the Korean Peninsula and hope that cooler heads will prevail, but if history is any guide, when the militaries of multiple nations begin to mass troops at borders, it takes only a single, often seemingly inconsequential, catalyst to plunge the situation into all-out war.

That’s exactly what’s happening in North Korea today. Two weeks ago China deployed some 150,000 troops to the North Korean border and put their entire military on high alert in anticipation of a U.S. military strike on Kim Jong Un.

Now we learn that Russia is rapidly deploying troop and equipment to their border with North Korea, as well.

Vladimir Putin is sending troops and equipment to Russia’s border with North Korea over fears the US is preparing to attack Kim Jong-un.

… A video purports to show one of three trains loaded with military equipment moving towards the 11 mile-long land frontier between Russia and the repressive state.

Another evidently highlights military helicopter movements towards the North Korean border and manoeuvres across rough terrain by army combat vehicles.

Other reports suggest there have been military moves by road as well.

There have been concerns that if a conflict breaks out Russia could face a humanitarian exodus from North Korea.

But Putin has been warned, too, that in the event of a US strike on Kim Jong-un’s nuclear facilities, contamination could swiftly reach Russia.

‘Railway trains loaded with military equipment moving towards Primorsky region via Khabarovsk have been noticed by locals,’ reported primemedia.ru in the Russian far East – linking the development to the North Korean crisis.

‘The movement of military equipment by different means of transport to southern areas is being observed across Primorsky region over the past week,’ said military veteran Stanislva Sinitsyn.

Full report: The Daily Mail

A few hundred thousands troops on the North Korean border, a U.S. Naval Strike Fleet awaiting orders from President Trump and constant threats of missile and nuclear tests from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un…

What could possibly go wrong?

Poster Comment:

China is on board with the deposing of the Fat Kid. Russia is just trying to protect its borders from a massive wave of ILLEGAL immigration, and there is no time to build a wall; except a wall of tanks and troops.

Much like Las Vegas, whatever happens on the Korean Peninsula will stay on the Korean Peninsula. Then peace may break out…. for a while.

Thank God Hillary was defeated by the REPUBLIC'S Electoral College and thank God that the moronic Kenyan is vacationing on a yacht.

The three great powers are moving in accord. China, Russia, America - making it clear to the North Korean government that there is no victory for them, and that they will not get nuclear weapons.

What those armies do it make it plain to Pyongyang that, if the use strikes by missile, North Korea WILL NOT launch an invasion of the South, because if they do, they will be invaded from the North.

North Korea will back down, and lose face, and that could end up toppling L'il Kim.

do you really think that is what it means? Kim will see it as solidarity against the US. He may get the message that there will be better times to conduct nuclear tests but I cannot see China and Russia enforcing UN security council resolutions against an ally, if they were going to do it they should have done it long ago. The US is not menacing NK, China or the Russians, the "fleet" is a long way from NK and what you are seeing is the readiness to oppose any military adventurism by the US.

This is where over reaction and being aloud mouth braggart gets you, a true mexican standoff, asian style

There is no Mexican standoff. We ALWAYS have a battlegroup in the Western Pacific. ALWAYS.

By simply SAYING it was headed to North Korea, the Chinese and Russians have been prompted to march 300,000 troops around, at great expense to themselves? Such a waste...UNLESS there is more coordination behind it than meets the eye.

Truth is, the Russian economy is small and weak. They NEED peace. And China is balancing on a topsy-turvy bubble. They can't survive a trade war with the US, and Trump promised one during the election.

So, the Chinese can buy a trade peace, and the Russians can buy peace, all by forcing a crazy little shit in North Korea to behave himself.

So he is. We win. The Chinese win. The Russians win. L'il Kim doesn't get nukes. Win, Win, Win - and Win, for all of us. L'il Kim loses, but he's like Assad - a murderous little piece of shit who deserves what he gets.

I don't see moves to take what he already has away from him, he has shown no signs of moderation but he does suffer the disadvantage of having his rockets pointed in the wrong direction. Russia has a tiny border with NK, but a very big one with China, a lot can go wrong if refugees take the opportunity and flee NK.

Kim should be left to play in his sandbox and his area restricted

I do not agree.

Those people who are starving and being tortured by the hundreds of thousands do not "belong" to Kim. They are our cousins, under the rule of an evil madman.

He should be taken out and they should be set free, just like any other hostages anywhere else in the world.

That said, the process of freeing them might end up killing as many innocent people as it freed, so we have to be circumspect.

Circumspection means that that murderous little butterball cannot ever be permitted to acquire nuclear weapons, because then it is no longer the abstract suffering of invisible North Koreans, but very active nuclear blackmail and saber rattling, with nukes, by a vicious little nut.

A war that takes him out is worth it if he won't renounce nukes and stop.

China has the ability to cut him off and cause North Korea's economy to collapse, provoking a civil war in which the North Koreans will take care of their own problem, as they should.

well you could hope that might be the result, but with a military of over a million and another four million in reserve it is difficult to see how a civil war would not be ruthlessly put down. NK is not Syria and populations have not demonstrated that they can successfully prosecute a civil war anywhere recently. You might dream of the days when they could have a successful revolution or civil war as you did in the US, but these are different days.

China may cut NK off, but can you see the "humanitarians" of this world leaving NK to their own devices. Aid would flood in to prop up Kim, which afterall is what he seeks

Make way for war of Gog and Magog. Just the way the US shadow government desires for this to happen so they can set in their world permanent governments in place.

North Korea WILL NOT launch an invasion of the South, because if they do, they will be invaded from the North.

They will be invaded all right, like in 1950:

"North Korea, also known as the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) serves as China’s strategic buffer zone in Northeast Asia. With a shared border of 1,400 kilometers, North Korea acts as a guard post for China, keeping at bay the tens of thousands of U.S. troops stationed in South Korea.

[...]

To a certain extent, North Korea shares the security threat posed by U.S. military forces in South Korea and Japan.

[...]

Whether China needs it or not, this is North Korea’s “contribution” to China’s national security, and China is, therefore, unlikely to ignore its strategic value.

Cooperation and assistance between China and North Korea is, at a mini- mum, mutual. In fact, China merely provides North Korea with the means to survive, while North Korea acts as a bulwark against U.S. forces. How much has China spent on this arrangement? For approximately no more than a few billion dollars a year (as of late), China has been provided with more than 50 years of peace.2 There is an argument that China has helped North Korea without getting anything in return.3 This statement is partially wrong. There is no altruism in international relations, including those between China and North Korea. By providing aid to North Korea, China is in essence helping itself.

[...]

When China provides aid to North Korea some would view this as buying security insurance at a basement bargain price. One could even interpret the China-North Korea alliance as being more important to China than the U.S.- Japan alliance is to the United States

[...]

China must then ask itself: what kind of security situation it will face if one day North Korea signs a treaty with the United States, exchanges nuclear weapons for friendship, and, by doing so, follows in Libya’s footsteps?"

I agree. Putin isn't stupid and he wants to open trade and military cooperation with the US,not go to war with us.

Same with China. Sales of Chinese junk brings them billions annually, and they understand America isn't a military threat to them.

If anything,IMHO,the reason the Chinese have the troops stationed there is in case a coup against Fat Boy fails and the lunatics look to be ready to go nuke,China will step up to the plate and invade NK to depose Fat Boy themselves. They might seem to be playing kissy-face with Fat Boy in public, but you can bet your ass they are working behind the scenes talking with senior NK military officers and encouraging a coup and promising Chinese help. Look at it from the POV of the senior NK brass. They KNOW what a lunatic Fat Boy is,and realize he is a danger to all. They WANT to overthrow the SOB,but they understand that they and their wives and children will all be murdered if they try and fail. Then, suddenly 150k Chinese soldiers show up on your border at the same time the Chinese leadership is whispering "Revolt! Overthrow and kill Fat Boy and all his closest supporters, and then we will come in with an initial 150k troops to help you reestablish order and a new government."

In the entire history of the world, the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.

not any more than you do, but I know he doesn't have that capability and he wouldn't waste one on us where all he could hit are a few salt water crocs. Talk is cheap and nukes cost money, and he could have an accident, it is a distinct posability
