Following the missile strike on Syria, President Trump has now sent an armada North Korea’s way, and they have decided to evacuate 600,000 people from the capital. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un gave the order to evacuate, according to Korea Joongang Daily. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un recently ordered the deportation of nearly 600,000 Pyongyang residents to the suburbs, a local source told the JoongAng Ilbo Monday. The deportation represents one-fourth of Pyongyang’s current population of 2.6 million. It is not known when they will be forced to move or to where. “Population control was the pretext of the latest order,” said the source, who asked for anonymity, “but in reality, the purpose is to ‘purify’ the North Korean capital and allow only the loyal elite class to live there.” Among those who were chosen by authorities to move are people whose relatives defected to South Korea, had been jailed in a prison camp, used drugs or counterfeit money, and produced, distributed or sold pirated films from the South. Those who were caught selling other illegally imported goods in a jangmadang, or North Korean black market, were excluded because such cases have become so prevalent that it is no longer considered a serious crime, the source said. … A South Korean government official said the North has sporadically kicked a few dissidents out of the capital in the past, but never a group as large as this. “That said, population control could be a factor if North Korea, which has lost millions to famine over the past few decades, considers Pyongyang a national redoubt,” wrote Kit Daniels. “North Korea may test a nuclear weapon on April 15 – the birthday of its founding president Kim Il Sung – as an act of defiance against the US strike group anchored off the Korean peninsula.” “The North Korean nuclear test scare comes just a few weeks after Japan began staging mass evacuation drills after Kim Jong-un test fired missiles and conducted rocket engine tests on intercontinental missiles,” reported The Sun. “The first exercise of its kind saw civilians young and old scrambling for cover as air-raid sirens wailed away.” “We are sending an armada. Very powerful,” Trump told Fox Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo. “We have submarines. Very powerful. Far more powerful than the aircraft carrier. That, I can tell you.” In the same manner Trump has spoken of before to the media, he said that he would not announce his plans of what he intended to do with regard to the armada and the latest provocations of Kim Jong Un. “You never know, do you? You never know,” Trump told Bartiromo. “He’s doing the wrong thing.” The USS Carl Vinson, “America’s Favorite Aircraft Carrier,” was sent in the armada. “U.S. Pacific Command ordered the Carl Vinson Strike Group north as a prudent measure to maintain readiness and presence in the Western Pacific,” command spokesman Cmdr. David Benham said. “Third Fleet ships operate forward with a purpose: to safeguard U.S. interests in the Western Pacific,” he added. “The number one threat in the region continues to be North Korea, due to its reckless, irresponsible, and destabilizing program of missile tests and pursuit of a nuclear weapons capability.” Poster Comment: Take care of one catastrophe at a time. This is idiotic. You can't "deport" people inside their native country. Where are you finding all this clickbait? Exactly when was the Vinson awarded this title anyway? We do have 9 other carriers of the same exact class. Why is the Vinson the supposed favorite? Why would the Vinson be more popular than the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76)?
What could it be called then rather than deportation? Transfer? Evacuate? Evacuate is the term that should have been used, but then perhaps deportation fits into the Korean jargon.
Liberals are a lot like Slinkys, they're good for nothing but they bring a smile to your face as you shove them down the stairs.
Sounds to me like they are getting the undesirables out of the capital. Perhaps a first move before moving them out to one of their open-air death camps where they are assigned a place to live unprotected on the slopes of a mountain and given no food. Norks have killed millions doing that. With the Chinese turning back those 12 coal ships and refusing to buy more, NKorea is facing a big cash crunch. In NKorea, that means widespread privation and starvation. So these marginal citizens are probably being designated for liquidation. Not deportation to another country.

From what I've read, they just let them die and rot or get eaten by animals in the mountains of the north. You might recall the Nazis had "prison camps" just like this for the Russian soldiers. Set foot over the marked boundary and they will shoot you as an escapee. Otherwise, you can try to live in a very cold place with no food, maybe no water either. Ugly ugly stuff.
Or maybe they prepare a big war, and evacuate people that are necessary for war effort from the cities. Same way as Soviets were doing during WWII. They sent part of Moscow, Leningrad populations toward east. They also moved industry/factories east toward Ural mountains. Other countries also did such things. For the Americans it is an exotic concept because the only time they fought a war on their land with long front-lines and moving armies was Civil War.
