In this false color map, the white regions depict galaxies, while the red regions depict the presence of the dark matter “bridge.”

For the first time ever, astronomers have an image of the “bridge” that ties galaxies together.

Captured by researchers at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, the composite image is proof that dark matter acts as a giant intergalactic web that connects galaxies throughout space and time. Their findings were published in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.

Dark matter is an invisible force that doesn’t emit or reflect light, and is only detectable through gravity. It makes up around 27 percent of the observable universe and scientists have long predicted that the ghostly substance plays a crucial role in the makeup of our entire universe.

“For decades, researchers have been predicting the existence of dark-matter filaments between galaxies that act like a web-like superstructure connecting galaxies together,” Mike Hudson, an author of the study, said in a statement. “This image moves us beyond predictions to something we can see and measure.”

The composite was created with images of over 23,000 galaxy pairs collected from a multi-year sky survey at the Canada-France-Hawaii telescope. (1 image)

That 'elusive force' is a measure of time and space in light years that no man shall enter till his physical form shall expire leaving his ectoplasmic form to travel as it may.

Some recent experiments indicate that we have vastly overestimated the amount of dark energy in the universe. Our scientists can use this as a way to blame dark energy and dark matter for most any failings in their explanations of the universe.

Yet recent experiments do indicate there is far far less dark energy than they've thought.

could it be there is far less universe than they think? afterall most of what they see existed long ago and may not exist now or they may be seeing the same thing in a different time and space? Like what you see in many mirrors?

Isn't there some old saying about how the universe is not merely stranger than we imagine but that it is far stranger than we can imagine?

Obviously, they are missing something big. The amount of dark energy seems like a giveaway, a way to balance their equations so they cannot be disproved. It reeks of unfalsifiability, a leading indicator of #FakeScience over the centuries.

They are trapped by Einstein's relativity. But even Einstein couldn't solve all these problems despite spending 40 years trying after he finished his relativity work.

The truth is likely that we simply will never gather enough key observational data to allow our theorists to fully comprehend the universe as it is and prove our understanding is correct. I think we greatly flatter our own understanding of the universe, much as the medieval theologians and ancient astrologers did. Colossally ignorant as they were, they were highly respected in their day and no questioned their brilliance, no matter how wrong they were.

So, we may be inherently incapable of understanding the universe. As modernists, we always assume as an article of faith that given enough time and resources and talented physicists that we can solve any problem and overcome any theoretical lack of knowledge. But what if that confidence is misplaced? There are no guarantees that the universe is comprehensible to the likes of us.

We can't measure the size of our own ego let alone the universe. We apply the known laws of physics and develop theories but as a friend of mine was told years ago when he entered university, forget everything you have ever been taught, it is wrong but we had to teach you something, so we taught you that. Science is wrong about the universe, science is wrong about climate change, science is frequently wrong, but it must be believed because sometimes they get it right, we have just been told there is life on a moon of Saturn because the conditions, ie; salt water, is present. but they miss the point, life is not possible anywhere in the solar system where the protection of a magnetic field doesn't exist,so i would be looking for life on Jupiter
