Title: Clint Eastwood: Donald Trump Challenging ‘Kiss-Ass Generation’

Actor-director Clint Eastwood believes that Donald Trump is benefitting from a trend in American culture by saying what he believes, despite criticism from all sides.

“He’s onto something, because secretly everybody’s getting tired of political correctness, kissing up,” Clint Eastwood said in an interview with Esquire. “That’s the kiss-ass generation we’re in right now. We’re really in a pussy generation. Everybody’s walking on eggshells.”

Eastwood specifically cited Trump’s comments criticizing a judge who was born to Mexican parents, but indicated he was tired of the media fueled controversy

“He’s said a lot of dumb things. So have all of them. Both sides,” he said “But everybody —the press and everybody’s going, ‘Oh, well, that’s racist,’ and they’re making a big hoodoo out of it. Just fucking get over it. It’s a sad time in history.”

Eastwood said that he hadn’t spoken to Trump about an endorsement, and hadn’t endorsed anyone for president. He clarified that he didn’t agree with everything that Trump said, but indicated that it was refreshing to see an unfiltered politician.

“He’s just saying what’s on his mind and sometimes it’s not so good,” he said. “And sometimes it’s … I mean, I can understand where he’s coming from, but I don’t always agree with it.”

But given the choice between Trump or Clinton, Eastwood suggested that he would probably vote for Trump because Clinton represented more of what Obama did to the country.

“I’d have to go for Trump … you know, ’cause she’s declared that she’s gonna follow in Obama’s footsteps,” he said, calling Clinton “a tough voice to listen to for four years.”

Eastwood criticized political figures who were using their position to make money, citing “too much funny business on both sides of the aisle.”

“She’s made a lot of dough out of being a politician,” he said, referring to Clinton.

Overall, however, Eastwood seemed dissatisfied with both Trump and Clinton.

“Everybody is boring everybody. It’s boring to listen to all this shit. It’s boring to listen to these candidates,” he said.

He added that an ideal candidate should more understanding instead of trying to insult his way to victory.

“[G]et in there and get it done,” he advised, citing his father. “Kick ass and take names.”

That’s the kiss-ass generation we’re in right now. We’re really in a pussy generation.

A uniquely truthful and apropos characterization….I really like it.

And I really like old Clint Eastwood….he always speaks his mind.

At his age of 86, I’ll say he is close enough to be of The Greatest Generation

God bless you, Clint …

And you too, Duke …

I just went to the YouTube page for the vid, clicked Share, clicked Embed. Same as always.

Maybe you haven't rebooted your computer (or restarted your browser) for a while. They can go stale and suffer memory corruption that is easily corrected wiht a restart. Just because we don't need to restart modern computers as often as we once did doesn't mean we don't ever need a clean restart to make it all work.

Chrome has detected that you're a lying leftist, so they blocked your posting of YouTubes to MAGA.

If you leave the USA they probably won't let you in again, so stay in your bunker "safe space"!

Chrome detected unusual code on this page and blocked it to protect your personal information (for example, passwords, phone numbers, and credit cards).

I tried it using my current version of Chrome and did not get this message.

I'm surprised that I'm not.

ERR_BLOCKED_BY_XSS_AUDITOR

In particular, they are saying that scripts are trying to run on one site and access data on another site. This is call "cross-site scripting" and it is forbidden on every good browser. However, there are ways you can sneak a few past the goalie so some extensions and some browsers (like Chrome) are extra-paranoid.

It is surprising that you are getting this message at YouTube though. Both Chrome and YouTube are owned and developed by Google so you'd think they could make their top browser product work with their top social media site. But apparently not.

If you really want to fix Chrome, you can make it a little less paranoid.

BillMyersOnline: Bypassing the XSS AUDITOR error in Chrome

You may recall we had an issue like this a year or so back that involved something similar. I think it was a Chrome problem too. I'll try to look back and find it.

Chrome detected unusual code on this page and blocked it to protect your personal information (for example, passwords, phone numbers, and credit cards). • Try visiting the site's homepage. ERR_BLOCKED_BY_XSS_AUDITOR

Now I looked back at my old Sent Mail. It was Chrome that caused the problem in January 2015. Here is an forum mail I sent about this back then.

Folder:Sent Mail
Date:February 1 8:46:51 AM
From:Tooconservative
To:A K A Stone, Pinguinite
Subject:Bad Youtube IFRAME previews in Chrome 4.0 due to Content Security Policy, soon to be fixed in 4.1

I mentioned that CSP was coming to all the browsers and it is. But they are pulling back on it a bit because it has made lots of people (like Stone) mad at them.

However, the particular problem with Chrome that Stone and a few others have been having will be alleviated in the upcoming Chrome 4.1:

code.google.com: Issue 36929: Disable the XSS auditor on 4.1

[These are the developers who decide what features get included and how they are implemented in any particular version of Chrome. Notice this: "Disable the XSS Auditor by default for 4.1. It causes a huge performance regression with POST. The auditor can now be enabled by passing --enable-xss-auditor.". And reading on we find the first Chrome 4.1 version that should have the XSS Auditor disabled by default will be build 4.1.249.1025 (Official Build 40600).]

In the meantime, Chrome 4.0 users can just create a shortcut to disable the XSS Auditor in Chrome:

Frameloss.org: Using Google Chrome for Security Testing

Stone hasn't told me if he's tried it yet here at LF.

So maybe there isn't any great need to fix this in LF's HTTP server headers after all as I described in an email to Neil. BTW, I just discovered that Neil wrote me an email a week ago and I just got it so I'm not too sure he gets my emails. The solution I proposed was to change postarticle.cgi and postcomment.cgi to emit a header to disable the XSS Auditor and I tested it as working correctly on my own P forum.

print "Content-type: text/html"; # Printing Content-Type must come after GoodCookie print "Content-Security-Policy: reflected-xss allow";

Probably making any changes to LF's emitted HTTP headers is no longer needed if the browser makers are going to stop with this nutty XSS Auditor stuff. But they still like it. Mostly they are just dumping it for now until they can fix the problem where it slows down the POST server transactions so much. So the Auditor will be back at some point.

I don't follow Chrome too closely so I would appreciate it if Stone lets me know what version of Chrome he is running (Help->About menu on Windows). Also, I want to know if his problem with IFRAMEd Youtube videos stops when he gets the new 4.1.249.1025 version shortly.

As I recall, we just sat it out until Chrome v4.0 was fixed as promised in Chrome v4.1. I'm not a big Chrome user so Stone probably recalls it better than I do.

Chances are that Google will make sure its browser Chrome works with its only big social media site YouTube. So they'll be fixing this problem pretty fast, I think.

And now you know just how boring it is to get a private forum email from me. As I predicted in the email, they never gave up on XSS_AUDITOR and I said that it would return. And so it has returned and is screwing Gatlin when he is trying to post YouTube vids.

He was 15 when WW II ended.

I PERSONALLY knew a 14 year old boy from Kentucky that was wounded while running recon with the 173rd ABN Brigade in VN. He had even won a Bronze Star with the V device. He was med-evaced to Okinawa to recover from his wounds and assigned to my unit because he was Airborne qualified and we were the only airborne unit around.

He was exposed when the army PIO people released the award of his BS and PH medals to his home town newspaper, and people that knew him started panicking and screaming at the army. He was being raised by his grandmother, and had convinced her to sign the papers so he could enlist, and had lied about his age.

I also know a man that retired as a CSGM after 30 years of service that climbed the cliffs at Normandy as a Ranger to destroy the Nazi artillery pieces here. He was 15 at the time.

Well, Firefox has its ups and downs, like the other browsers. Firefox tried to break into tablets and phones and failed so they wasted a lot of effort on that. Microsoft just gave up their attempt to break into tablets and phones (other than the Surface devices) and they failed too.

So we've seen a couple of big failed efforts from both Firefox and Microsoft and they wasted a lot of time and effort on stuff that got scrapped. In the meantime, Google seems satisfied with disabling its own browser Chrome from time to time over unleashing that heartless bitch, XSS_AUDITOR, on its gullible users.

As for search engines, I still am quite content with DuckDuckGo. And I can make it retrieve an untraced Google search if I want to. It's just so seldom that I want to.

We can recall instances of child soldiers among Islamists in Africa, recruiting down to the age of 8 or 10. And ISIS has vids showing them teaching boys as young as 6 to kill prisoners. In the Iraq-Iran war, the Iranians used 8-14yo boys as human mine clearers. North Vietnam used a lot of terrorist child bombers over the years of that war. Then we can recall how Hitler bought a few more days of life by deploying a lot of 14yo boys for a hopeless last-ditch defense of Berlin.

No, I don't admire or condone the use of child soldiers, even in a so-called "good war". It is forbidden by the Geneva conventions too, along with prohibitions on kidnapping child soldiers or torturing child soldiers.

I say people were much better off all the way around back then(even black people). It was not perfect but why though out the baby with the dirty bath water. Why not fix things as we go instead of destroying everything in hopes of creating something that can not be created in hate?

I say people were much better off all the way around back then(even black people). It was not perfect but why though out the baby with the dirty bath water. Why not fix things as we go instead of destroying everything in hopes of creating something that can not be created in hate?

Give me the 50's any day over today! A society with moral decay is not a society at all.

You get an Amen of this from me, Justified ...

Both examples are excellent reasons why we oppose their regimes,NOT reasons to emulate them.

That's taking PoGo's philosophy of "We has met the enemy, and he is us!" too far.

I will even say ESPECIALLY black people. Almost all black children back then were brought up in homes with a father that had a job and worked to provide for them. They knew who their father was instead of having to pick him out of a police lineu as one of the "likely suspects",and they knew it was HIM that provided for their needs, not some nameless and faceless bureaucrat in the Welfare System,
