I want to make sure that I'm abiding by the stated rules, but I don't see them anywhere. Aside from that...hello all! Glad to be here.

Yes there is a private mail function.
LP doesn't have one.
There is control over where the sidebar appears. It's controlled by template files that shape how the forum looks. These template files are specific to LF. I guess for now just let me know what you want showing up where.
This board uses the private reply and edit features of Pinguinite. Way cool.
the peoples forum is way dog slow for me. It's slow while I'm on high speed and it's about as slow when I'm on dial-up. I'm just putting a bug in your ear. I'm dealing wiff it.
On other sites that run this software, when you're not logged in the sidebar appears in articles, when you log in it goes away (after the page is reloaded). It's Stone's call, that's just my opinion of how it should work.
