Not with Univision’s Jorge Ramos, as all he needs is a latino audience and a camera. The television anchor let it be known who he thinks the United States really “belongs to” at the Univision Music Awards From NewsBusters: Further ramping up his open opposition to President Trump’s immigration law enforcement policies, Univision anchor Jorge Ramos has let loose with an outrageous tirade that could best be described as equal parts nationalistic identity politics, racially-driven demagoguery, and yet another instance of the irresponsible conflation of legal and illegal immigration. Here’s how the Univision/Fusion anchor kicked off his participation in the 2017 edition of the network’s annual entertainment awards show, Premios Lo Nuestro (“Our Awards”): JORGE RAMOS, SENIOR NEWS ANCHOR, UNIVISION: I am an immigrant, just like many of you. I am a proud Latino immigrant here in the United States. My name is Jorge Ramos, and I work at Univision and at the Fusion network. And you know exactly what is going on here in the United States. There are many people who do not want us to be here, and who want to create a wall in order to separate us. But you know what? This is also our country. Let me repeat this: OUR country, not theirs. It is our country. And we are not going to leave. We are nearly 60 million Latinos in the United States. And thanks to US, the United States eats, grows and, as we’ve seen today, sings and dances. So when they attack us, we already know what we are going to do. We are not going to sit down. We will not shut up. And we will not leave. That is what we are going to do. Trump will push through amnesty in his second term, that's the whole scam behind his fake wall, which is a barbed wire cattle fence. Same as was built in the '30's by FDR's WPA. The FDR fence used round steel poles, with tabs to hold the barbed wire. There's still some of it along the border. Have you lost your freaking mind? Some pompous Billionaire makes a statement on a tv station he owns this year,and that is supposed to mean the people I knew in the 70's who had never heard of him were a part of his "dreamer club"? I personally knew people that would get pissed if you suggested they were Mexicans,and would get right up in your face and tell you "I am an AMERICAN!" BOYCOTT PAYPAL AND CLOSE YOUR PP ACCOUNTS NOW! ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO SO,TOO! ISLAM MEANS SUBMISSION! Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? I know Vietnam Vet Minutemen from East Los Angeles that feel the same. They seem to have become unrepresented and quiet to the point of being non existent. What happened? You say you "personally knew people", past tense. Is it the absense of your judiciousness that has caused the change?

The only recent Republican president who wasn't a Reconquista was, Richard M. Let's face it,headlines that scream "Descendants of Mexican immigrants are proud to be Americans,and get up every day and go to work to better their lives" doesn't make much of a headline. I wrote I "personally KNEW people..." because I am no longer in contact with those people and don't personally know any Mexican immigrants or their descendants where I live now. Sometimes things mean exactly what they are stated to mean. To make it plainer,I used to live in a neighborhood populated primarily by either people who came from Mexico or their descendants,and now I don't even live in a neighborhood populated by anyone. I enjoyed your photo of Bush II with the characteristic surprised stupid look on his face. I notice you assholes keep trying to blame the immigration situation on Reagan. No sale among the educated. Reagan made an agreement with Tip Oniel to allow a few in in exchange for an agreement that that would be the last of it and to get it out of the way. Oniel promptly went back on his word. Reagan's final word on the agreement was that Oniel was very likeable but a man without honor and not to be trusted. Since that time two Bushs, the Clintons, and Obama pumped in 28,000,000 new invaders that we even know about according to professor Gimpil(sp) at the University of Maryland who apparently specializes in immigration issues. Don't try to blame it all on Reagan.

Used to work in a warehouse. One of the managers was a "Latino ". Some one said something to him about his being Mexican. He got very upset, and said that he was from Puerto Rico, and that he was an American. One of the "work hands " reluctantly admitted he was from Mexico, but would tell you that he was not proud of it, and considered himself an American.
