United States News Title: Liberals now actively protesting in SUPPORT of the police state (INTELLIHUB) — In the wake of the sudden resignation of Michael Flynn as national security adviser, some Republicans in Congress have signaled that they plan to investigate the illegal leaks that led to the ouster of the decorated three-star general. Specifically, House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) has publicly stated his intent to investigate the surveillance that led to Flynn’s resignation as well as the actual illegal leaks to the corporate media. “I expect for the FBI to tell me what is going on, and they better have a good answer,” Nunes told the Washington Post. “The big problem I see here is that you have an American citizen who had his phone calls recorded.” Astonishingly, so-called progressive groups are now actively attacking Nunes in a shocking display of “liberals” openly protesting in support of the deep state! You can’t make this up folks, Soros-funded leftists are now learning to love the deep state in their scorched earth, by whatever means necessary, operation to take out Donald Trump. “Nunes’ sudden vault into the headlines in Washington gave critics in California an opening. A rally was held Wednesday at his Clovis office by a group called the Courage Campaign, which called for his resignation as chairman of the intelligence committee,” reported the Fresno Bee. “Chanting “Hey, hey, ho, ho, Nunes has got to go,” about 20 demonstrators stood outside Nunes’ Clovis office Wednesday, holding signs demanding investigations of Trump’s Russian ties or for Nunes to resign from his committee post if he doesn’t investigate the Russian ties.” As Breitbart noted, liberals also took to Twitter to attack Nunes and show their support for elements of the intelligence community selectively leaking classified information to the media in a direct attack on the rightfully elected President. At this point it is important to backtrack a bit and recap what progressives are now openly supporting in their attacks on Nunes. As I reported yesterday, “While elements of the intelligence community targeted Trump long before his stunning victory, in the last week we have seen an unprecedented series of illegal leaks to establishment media puppets that came directly from elements of the National Security Agency as well as the CIA.” Eli Lake noted in an important Bloomberg opinion piece, “Normally intercepts of U.S. officials and citizens are some of the most tightly held government secrets. This is for good reason. Selectively disclosing details of private conversations monitored by the FBI or NSA gives the permanent state the power to destroy reputations from the cloak of anonymity. This is what police states do.” (emphasis mine) So there you have it. The left now publicly supports the actions of the police state and are apparently willing to accept any sort of illegal action in their never ending quest to remove Trump from office.
