Even amidst the fake news, and biased reporting from our dishonest mainstream media, President Trump’s approval rating continues to soar. The American people “get it,” and have tuned-out the fake news media. The latest Rasmussen poll shows President Trump’s approval rating at 55%. Amazing, considering how many lies and nasty “hit pieces” are out there against him. The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 55% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-five percent (45%) disapprove. The latest figures include 38% who Strongly Approve of the way Trump is performing and 36% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of +2.

Hey Deckard, I understand it when someone doesn't like Trump because he doesn't believe he's going to be any good for the country. But if you are like me and one who sees the fed gov way out of control, then you should at least be enjoying the civil war that's breaking out within the fed ranks. Surely, even if you don't like Trump, that should be something you are not disappointed in. Right or wrong?

Randy Berry, the Special Envoy for the Human Rights of LGBTI Persons, is continuing “in his role under the current administration,” a State Department spokesperson said on Monday. Conservative Christians in particular cheered his nomination of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court and Trump’s promised “fix” for the Johnson Amendment, which restricts pastors’ ability to politick in the pulpit. But for the second time since his inauguration, Trump has decided to preserve an Obama-era initiative to protect sexual minorities. The State Department announced Monday (Feb. 13) that it would retain Randy Berry, the special envoy for the human rights of LGBTI persons. In 2014, the Obama administration created Berry’s position to support efforts abroad to protect gay people from violence and death. The conservative Family Research Council had made removing such “activists” a priority and as recently as December called on the State Department to rid itself of employees who promote an “anti-family, anti-life agenda.” Tony Perkins, head of the council and a prominent evangelical backer of Trump, called the news that Berry was staying on “a disappointing development.” In a statement on Tuesday, he said the administration should focus on battling “Christian persecution and genocide” rather than promoting gay rights. “Keeping Berry only signals to the world that the extreme agenda of the Obama years is still deeply entrenched in the State Department,” Perkins concluded. Trump’s secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, pushed the Boy Scouts of America to be open to gay rights when he served as national president from 2010 to 2011. In 2013, while he served on the executive board of the Scouts, it rescinded the ban on gay scouts. During his confirmation hearing, Tillerson declined to say whether “gay rights are human rights.” I think Trump is better than Clinton would have been - that said, he's way out of his depth. Mostly it's the "cult of personality" idiocy that his supporters display that tell me he's gonna be just like Bush - how did that turn out by the way? The Trumps cultists of today are the Bush-bots from 2000. Any criticism of Der Führer ist streng verboten! Rasmussen was mostly soft on Trump. Besides, I've read nothing to indicate that any of these pollsters have altered their methodology in any substantial way. These are the same exact crappy polls that told us Trump could never win right up until election night. Since they've done nothing to correct the poll sampling, question bias, etc., why exactly should anyone believe these polls? I also really doubt that 0bama left office with such high approval ratings. For what, exactly? I've begun to think that a lot of people just lie on principle if a pollster calls them. I think there is a "shy Trump" effect where people lie to pollsters because they don't want to have their voices recorded saying they support Trump. I think they don't trust that polling answers will remain confidential. And why would they? So they just lie. There was a lot of lying to pollsters in the last Netanyahu election in Israel, in the Cameron election in Britain and then on the Brexit vote. The polling in all three indicated Bibi/Cameron/Brexit would lose decisively. And then they won. The same pattern applied to Trump's decent margin of victory. Again, why are we supposed to trust any of the polls since they've done nothing to improve the quality or accuracy of them in the biggest elections in America and its two closest allies, Britain and Israel. Stick it up your ass, Nate Silver.
