The Trump administration told the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to take down its global warming webpage, an anonymous EPA staffer said. “If the website goes dark, years of work we have done on climate change will disappear,” the staffer told Reuters Tuesday. The staffer was not authorized to speak to the media and claimed EPA employees were scrambling to save data on the website. The EPA’s global warming webpage is currently still up as of Wednesday morning. The page contains some links to EPA’s data on carbon dioxide (CO2) as well as other greenhouse gas emissions and lists the effects the agency says global warming will have. The site doesn’t host much of the data, however, and only aggregates links to it. EPA was ordered Tuesday to stop handing out grants for projects and research on global warming, air quality monitoring and education, and the agency instructed employees not to discuss the spending freeze outside the agency, according to anonymous leaks to multiple media outlets.

Trump nominated Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, who has battled the EPA numerous times in court, to head the agency. The Senate’s environment committee had a seven-hour long confirmation hearing for Pruitt last week, but no vote on his nomination has been scheduled. EPA was ordered Tuesday to stop handing out grants for projects and research on global warming, air quality monitoring and education, and the agency instructed employees not to discuss the spending freeze outside the agency, according to anonymous leaks to multiple media outlets. Ping me when AlGore disappears! Good for Trump. Support Scott Pruitt! Trump is going to have to find a way to break the news to his daughter Ivanka, that algore is a fraud and phony. Grow a pair Trump! Gore will blow up!
The classical Greek and Roman era records a warmer climate than we have now - way before industrialization. Climate was war m enough to grew grapes in Britain. There was a reason Greeks went around naked and only needed togas. It was that warm. This man made climate change - to make us not use technology and to restrict enterprise - is rooted in socialist anti-western ideology. If I can get a little more deep if we take the socialism to the side, there has always been an ideological discomfort with industrialization in the west going back to the 19th century which is not linked to socialism but to a form of naturalism. These are the back to nature movements which includes fringe movements like nudists and luddites. Even the Nazis were influenced by this wish to return back to a pre- industrialized state.
We enjoy ourselves more in nature than in urban grime. We like fresh air and green, and are much, much healthier there. There is a REASON that people take vacation and go to the sea and to the woods: they are healthier places, that move at the speed that we are designed to move. Industrialization visibly destroys the green and healthy, and while we accept that we have to live in cities to work, etc., we do not embrace it and never will - or should. Industrialization also came with it the wholesale pollution of everything - air, water, land - 50 gallon drums of toxic waste dumped here, there, everywhere. There are reasons we don't like it. Reality is that we need industry to live the lives we do. But reality also is that people want to do that in as green and pleasant a land as possible. Yes, of course we enjoy nature - but all I am saying is this climate change man made nonsense is more an ideological or a spiritual movement in hatred of industrialization than it is based on science. I used to read a British Marxist magazine called LM (Living Marxism) - not because I am a Marxist - but because they were fighting against the Bosnia intervention against Serbia and so I was reading it. I was pleasantly surprised to find anti Climate Change articles in it. It was a shock to me because I assumed Marxists would be "pro Green" but they argued Green was a bogus movement designed to empower the Gentry classes that long have walled off the peasants from the royal woods and walled off the commons pastures ands it was anti factory worker.
