To: Justified (#2) Trump is going to give the country back to the People. That means that the economy will be less efficient for wealth accumulation, and labor will cost considerably more. Trade will be less free. That's the price for preserving the middle class: the private economy has to redistribute more wealth to workers. That is what sustains a middle class. The way you do that is by restricting foreign access to the US markets. That drives up the prices, which allows more US businesses to compete, and to hire US workers, at higher wages. All sorts of good, virtuous things come from having full employment at middle class wages. But you can't get there with free trade. That's what has to give. You can't get to a balanced budget while fighting a war, either hot or cold. So, we have to make peace with Russia and with China, and we have to finish the war on terror and get out. That's the other price for prosperity. Stop the wars, make peace, come home, and protect the domestic market so that American industry will come back. That will unleash a lot of jobs, a lot of wealth...and therefore a lot of taxes to fix schools, rejigger health care, etc. It's all good. Trump is the man to do it. Long ago when I read economics what was very apparent was the importance of trade, thus the whole world has spent the intervening years lowering trade barriers in order to increase trade, but now because an ignoramus has spoken you want to reverse that wisdom.
