Naturally

Boy
Olesia Bilkei / Dreamstime

A 5-year-old in Berwick, Pennsylvania, woke his dad up on early a Saturday morning and said it was time to go to school. Daddy told him no, hon, it's Saturday—no school!—and went back to sleep.

Now the dad, Jeffry Wagner, is facing child endangerment charges. Unbeknownst to him, his son continued to get ready for school and ventured out into the chilly day to make his way to the bus stop.

Of course, no bus arrived, so the determined little boy started to walk to school. And then, reports CBS Pittsburgh:

[A] motorist spotted him and called police, who picked up the boy.

Wagner waived a preliminary hearing Thursday and will face the charge in county court.

Because, of course, only the children of criminally negligent parents ever do anything unexpected.

And any child who ventures outside is immediately in such grave danger, no parent should ever allow it, even if they're asleep.

And no cop has ever had anything similar happen to him or her, because it's only abusive, negligent parents who sleep in on Saturday mornings.

Throw the book at that sorry excuse for a papa! And let's hope that someday the child understands that it was thanks to him that daddy is doing time. That'll make the whole family a lot more functional.

I am quite sure that in as short a time ago as 1960, the Father and his friends would have accosted this officer and the State worker and beaten the snot out of them....off duty of course.

Exercising rights is only radical to two people, Tyrants and Slaves. Which are YOU? Our ignorance has driven us into slavery and we do not recognize it.

Why didn't the dickwad motorist talk to the boy before calling the gestapo?

Wagner waived a preliminary hearing Thursday and will face the charge in county court.
Under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania [234 Pa. Code Rule 541. Waiver of Preliminary Hearing], Jeffry Wagner had the option to “waive” his preliminary hearing.

Wagner showed up court and exercised that option.

By “waiving” his preliminary hearing, ”it basically meant Wagner acknowledged that the Commonwealth could meet its burden at this stage and he agreed to have his case move forward.”

The full reason Wagner chose to “waive” his preliminary hearing is something the author knew or could have easily found out….and maybe did, but neglected to publish the reason. Why was that information not given….is a good question.

The author also could have accessed the police arrest report….and maybe did, but neglected to publish that. Why the author did not show the arrest report or excepts from it….is another good question.

Some critically important information is missing from the account given here by the author….the question is, WHAT?

So, the “dickwad motorist” talks to the boy and asks the him what he is doing. The boy answers that my dad is asleep so I am walking to school alone.

What’s next, Fred?

Maybe the “dickwad motorist” then puts the kid in his car to try and find out where the kid lives to take him home. Then another “dickwad motorist” spots the first “dickwad motorist” pick up the kid from the street who has been walking alone and calls the police to report a kidnapping.

What’s next, Fred?

Or, maybe something like happened to this 6-year-old Patz boy could easily also have happened to the 5-year-old Wagner boy:
On the morning of May 25, 1979, Etan Patz left his SoHo apartment by himself for the first time, planning to walk two blocks to catch the school bus at West Broadway and Spring Street. He was wearing a blue captain's hat, a blue shirt, blue jeans, and blue sneakers. He never reached the bus stop.

Etan Patz photographed on September 16, 1978
I keep wondering why Jeffry Wagner “waived” his right to a preliminary hearing …

Bull crap! The defense has chosen to hold their cards close to the vest for whatever reason, which you've taken as an opportunity to develop one of your crackpot theories.

Meanwhile the young Pennsylvania libertarian remains free as a bird, to hug his guns and Bible. and ponder a presidential run.

The D&R Party is a suicide cult!
