The car crashed within a minute or so of Fayed putting the ring on her finger. And that fact comes straight from the horse's mouth (the driver). He was no doubt watching it instead of watching the road. Plus he had been drinking in the bar moments before to celebrate the momentous event that he knew was about to take place. I view that as just contributing factors that God used to kill Diana. She is one of the "great whores" who God always brings instant judgment upon. (In the Bible, a whore is any Christian or Jew who abandons God and embraces another religion. A "great" whore is a king or PM or president, or prince or princess who does it.
