NO EXCUSES ANYMORE.

A Republican won the White House. Republicans control the House of Representatives. Republicans control the Senate. Republicans will be 5-4 on the Supreme Court soon. Republicans control 34 governorships. Republicans control 68 of 99 state legislatures, and control both houses in 33 states.

All that's left to Democrats is a majority of lower-level federal judges - a situation that will rapidly reverse (Presidents generally name about 1/3 of the federal judiciary during their terms), and with control of the Supreme Court, what comes up from the lower courts is just noise that can always be reversed.

The only other thing Democrats have is the filibuster. But in 2013 Harry Reid went nuclear (to try to pack the courts). While I've heard people argue that Reid's "going nuclear" was limited to judges, so what? The point is that he made a rule change, and ratified that rule change by a simple majority. Sure HE limited it judges, but the Republicans don't have to limit it at all. THEY can do a rule change that turns the Senate into a majority vote body, with no filibuster, and pass everything. Historically, they majority party always resisted doing that because, What if the other side wins?

But the Democrats were undeterred - they DID IT to pack the courts. And the Democrat situation looks bleak in 2018 in the Senate. IF the Republicans STAND AND DELIVER, and IF their policies REALLY ARE THE RIGHT ONES, if they "go nuclear" and implement their ENTIRE platform NOW, with plenary power, then - IF THEY'RE RIGHT ABOUT THEIR PHILOSOPHY - things will get better in a hurry and they'll win 2018 in a landslide.

So, there are no excuses now. The Republicans have absolute power. It is broad. The Democrats have no ability to stop, or even slow down, anything, at all, anywhere, unless the Republicans grant them that power.

If they do that, they will stop the Republicans, gridlock will continue, and eventually economic calamity will come.

You Republican got LUCKY with Trump. Most of you detested him at the beginning of the season and did not agree with his policies. BUT HE WON. He won, and dragged you into a position of power that no President has has since LBJ and FDR.

YOU NOW HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SWIFTLY ENACT THE ENTIRE GOP AGENDA. Nothing can stop you, or slow you down. You can have the entire thing in place within 100 days, and if it's as good as you say it is, things will get better.

Our most dangerous foreign adversary, Russia, is happy with Trump's election. We're going to have foreign peace on our most important front.

There is literally NO EXCUSE NOW. NO PLACE TO HIDE.

If Republicans do not get it done now - if instead of following the lead of the President the people elected and ruling with the power they have been granted, Republicans divide into a civil war, then you will have demonstrated that you're as useless as people like me always though you were.

Trump won. He saved your bacon in the Senate. He shored up the House. He's the leader. Follow him, and you'll have power for the next 80 years.

Fight stupidly and resist the will of the people - reject Trump on your own side and try to pretend there's some sort of mandate for Ryan or Mitch McConnell, and you will have the Democrats back in a whirlwind in 2 years, and then in four years you'll have a Democrat President who will grant amnesty and citizenship, and you'll never win another election.

This is your ONE shining moment of absolute power. You have a leader. Shut up and get in line behind him. Pass your whole agenda. And if you were right all along, the country will do so well you'll get more and more of the black vote even, and you'll keep the blue collar, and you'll be the new majority party for generations.

Or fail, refuse to follow the man the People want, fight among yourselves, prove you're worthless at governance, and have the Democrats take it all back in 4 years, for good.

Your call Republicans. Now you have absolute power. And you will be held absolutely accountable. There is no place to hide, and there are no excuses anymore. Nothing can stop you but you.

So, ARE YOU CAPABLE OF RULING? Or are you jackasses?

Up to you.

Trump will actually need two SCOTUS appointments.

One to replace the conservative Scalia and one to replace the swing vote Kennedy or one of the libs on the court.

The court conservatives are Roberts, Alito and Thomas.

Swing Kennedy (pro abortion)

Liberals Kagan, Ginsburg, Breyer and Sotomayer.

The first Trump appointment will actually bring balance back to the court.

Kagan, Sotomyer, and Breyer are relatively young.

Only one that is advanced in age is Ginsburg.

It takes 36 states to amend the Constitution, either through the usual method or through a Constitutional Convention of the States.

Republicans completely control the legislatures of 33 states,, and a 34th state, Nebraska, is officially a "nonpartisan" legislature, but is really Republican.

Want to clarify that gun rights are a personal right, and clarify the Second Amendment? This is your moment to do it.

You START with 34 states. You only need two more. Washington state, Colorado and Maine are three states with divided control, a slim majority of Democrats (or, in the case of Maine, no Democrat majority but some independents). All three of these rural states are places where guns are popular. Even Connecticut is an evenly divided state in terms of the legislature, though with a Democrat governor and the still-recent Sandy Hook horror it's probably not a place that's going to "go guns" right now.

My point is this: The Republicans have so much control of the states right now that they could call a Convention of the States, dominate it, and amend the Constitution as a whole, to shore up gun rights, end "ahchor baby", clean up "eminent domain" (without Trump's imput, as the President doesn't have a role in a Convention of the States), impose limits on the Commerce Clause and taxation - in short, bring the Constitution up to date, and close the crazy judicial loopholes that have been opened by overreaching Supreme Court decisions.

Trump should REALLY go nuclear and call for a Convention of the States.

29 states ALREADY HAVE IN PLACE a call for a Constitutional convention. It only takes two more.

Want to change things FOR GOOD, you Republicans? Then use your power right now to call a convention of the states, which YOU will control because you already control most of the states, and set in stone your political philosophy.

That is, if you really have one that you believe in.

If I were a Republican, if I were Trump, I would have my people looking at this intensely. It's the answer to win your points for the next 250 years.

He only needs one to bring it back to a majority. Kennedy is a swing on abortion, but he's not particularly liberal. He's also quite old. So's Ginsburg. Breyer is right behind them.

But the Supreme Court can't STOP constitutional amendments, it only takes 34 states to call a Convention of the States, and the Republicans outright control 34 states right now.

So, stop playing games, call the convention, dispense with the legislative process, cut the Supreme Court down to size, and enact the changes at the grand level, all at once, during your one moment of absolute power.

Double the size of the court ASAP, appoint ten new justices.

Call a convention of the states, amend the Constitution to impose retirement ages, and amend the Constitution to strike down Roe, Kelo, Sullivan - all of it. Restore balance in the system by a general set of amendments to the Constitution. The Supreme Court has no jurisdiction over that and is completely bypassed.

It takes 34 states to call one, 36 states to ratify what it approves. Republicans outright control 34, have plurality control of one more (Maine) (which means they will have control, and are nearly balanced in two past that.

If you want to stop the shenanigans for good, this is the moment to do it at a CONSTITUTIONAL LEVEL, all at once, without the ability of the Congress OR the Supreme Court to even get a vote.

It leaves everything to the states, and the states are DOMINATED by Republicans.

There is your revolutionary answer to everything, and it is absolutely within your grasp. If you really believe in Republican principles, that is.

If you really think that Republicans are muddle headed, then you should breathe a sign of relief that the only person who seems to have noticed that the Republlicans literally have CONSTITUTION REWRITING POWER with a Convention of the States, right now, is a grumpy Independent French guy on an obscure chat site in the crazy corner of the Internet.

Mark Levin should take notice of this, but even he hasn't, yet. He's a smart guy, I wish he'd LOOK, because he'd be astounded.

Now is the time. It's actually easier for Republicans right now to change the whole system at once, by a Constitutional Convention, than to use the broken Congressional system and have everything subject to judicial review.

Come on Republicans, You have the power. No excuses if you don't use it to do what you've said you believe in. Don't you REALLY believe what you say? Don't you TRUST yourselves with all this power?

Come on, Trump, DO IT. Notice it. Call for it.

No, I didn't.

I'm just observing that the Republicans have a greater concentration of power since the 19th Century. FDR never had this much control at the Federal AND State levels.

There is literally NOTHING stopping the Republicans from imposing their ENTIRE agenda, other than themselves.

My point about the Article V convention is that the Republicans have such VAST control of the state legislatures that, right now, they can CALL a convention, completely DOMINATE it, and amend the Constitution AT WILL, and only need ONE more state to adopt a whole slate of amendments.

So there's literally NO EXCUSE now if they don't implement everything they've said. They cannot be stopped at the federal level.

So now we see their true colors. Whatever they do NOW, with all the power and nothing stopping them - this is what they REALLY ARE. There is no place to hide now. It's all them.

I hope they change everything, and fast. I hope they really are what they've always said they are.

If they don't, well, that'll tell me they were always liars. Because they can't say that something stopped them. There's noting TO stop them now.

They can move a Constitutional Amendment without calling a Convention.

Two ways they can end the murder of unborn humans. The first would be an Amendment. They should do that but it takes years.

The second way is for Congress to invoke powers they have in the 14th Amendment to extend Constitutional rights to the unborn.

Rand Paul has tried to take up this measure several times.

14Th Amendment protections pre born life

Third way: Congress strips the federal courts of appellate jurisdiction to void state abortion laws.

"In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make."

Yes, but when you have the power to call a convention and then ratify everything - which the Republicans DO - they have the 34 states, and they have 35 of the 36 states required to ratify, with Maine being a plurality Republican legislature also, so really they have the 36 states.

A SINGLE amendment, using the usual process, will take forever and have the usual paralysis, but if it is all done a slate of amendments, without Congress at all, with the states already Republican controlled - the slate is put out, and passed, and that's that.

All at once you have, in one document, a new Bill of Rights II - Gun rights clear Abortion ended The end of gay marriage mandates The end of Kelo The sharp limitation of the Commerce clause. A sharp redefinition of the war power and the taxing power.

Done separately, they can be resisted and debated and dragged out, but done all at once, in a convention, promptly submitted, without Congress, to the states - with the same states that CALLED the convention being 34 of the 36 required to ratify the outcome, the terms will be sharper, cleaner, and they'll all get done - NEXT YEAR. No long wait. No slow fight that allows the Left to resist and block one at a time. No Congressional delay. No judicial intervention. One single forced march, and it's done, just like the original Constitutional Convention.

No party has ever had this much concentrated power before. If Republicans really believe, they need to boldly USE this power, not get lost in the morass of single issue legislation.

With this level of control at the state level, the ultimate States Rights argument is to take state power, en masse, call a convention now - it will certainly be controlled by the Republicans, because 35 Republican states will be calling it, and the state delegations are chosen by the state legislatures! Maine or Colorado will have to go along with result to get that last ratification vote, but in Maine, the balance of power in their assembly is INDEPENDENTS. The Republicans are the pluraiity, so the Maine delegation will be Republican or Republican Independent, and NOT Democrat.

Shock and awe.

If Republicans don't really believe in their agenda (which, recall, is what I expect of them - I am an Independent who supports Trump and wants a Republican majority to work with Truno, I'm not a Republican, not yet anyway), then of course they'll go back to politics as usual.

But if they really believe in federalism, states rights, and all of these causes like guns and life and traditional marriage, and the dysfunction of Washington, then right now they already have in their hands the ability for the STATES, the REPUBLICAN STATES, to rewrite the Constitution.

No party has ever had this power before.

Do it in a two prong way. Have the states call the convention and proceed. That will FOCUS the nation like a laser beam on that. Meanwhile, Trump and the federal republicans do what is necessary in Washington, where the Republicans also have the power, but the Democrats will be focused on their existential threats at the Convention. They will be that much weaker in DC, and that much MORE willing to work with a reasonable Donald Trump.

What I know will probably happen instead is that the ultra-rich crony capitalist party at the core of the GOP will, instead, slow everything down and essentially just try to milk favors out of the GOP, just as they lined up then Democrats. If the GOP LETS THEM DO IT, my distrust of the GOP will be confirmed.

Trump is really different, and it's a revolutionary moment, so I actually have some hope here. Trump brought home the blue collar. THAT needs to be the basis of the GOP: working people, not the rich people. The Democrats have the super-rich already

It won't work. The Supreme Court will vote 6-3 )pr 6-2 under the current configuration), and maybe 7-2 or 7-1, that Congress does not have the power to strip the Supreme Court of constitutional review.

Put another way, it's unconstitutional for Congress to pass jurisdiction reduction laws for the invidious purpose of permitting Congress to pass unconstitutional laws.

There's no "end run" here. The Court is not going to let itself be nullified like that. It will nullify the nullification law.

Their riots are little flashes in the pan, happening in blue cities that voted Democrat anyway.

It's as irrelevant as "Occupy Wall Street".

The riots remind us all of how very much the Left, the Democrats, really and truly HATE us. They HATE us, and they would kill us if they could.

So we should not expect anything but opposition from them.

But the Republicans have amassed so much power, it DOES NOT MATTER that the Democrats hate them. Let them rage away in their pointless hate. They can't stop anything. They can't slow it down.
