Vladimir Putin was one of the first leaders to congratulate Donald Trump on his Presidential victory. In his greeting card, Putin expressed his confidence that a dialogue between Kremlin and Washington will be based on mutual respect and equal partnership. Mutual respect was the exact phrase that Trumps ex foreign policy adviser Carter Page used in his infamous speech at the School of Economics, a college in Moscow, back in July. He critiqued the Obama administration for its draconian practices, against Russia and pointed out the necessity of mutual respect.
On Wednesday, Putin was quick to remind people about Trumps statements expressing his desire to restore relations with Russia. He also pointed out that it might not be so easy.
We understand and are aware that it will be a difficult path in the light of the degradation in which, unfortunately, the relationship between Russia and the U.S. are at the moment. And then, he added: As I have repeated many times, it is not our fault that Russia-U.S. relations are as you see them.
Putins advisor Sergei Glaziev went as far as to officially suggest that Trumps victory saved the world from WW3. Americans had two choices: WW3 or multilateral peace. Clinton was a symbol of war, and Trump has a chance to change this course.
Vyacheslav Volodin, an aide to Putin, expressed his excitement with Trump as well. He stated that with the end of the Obama administration there will be an end to the problems it caused between Kremlin and Washington, including the sanctions.
Sanctions is the tool used by the weak, he claimed, referring to the economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. and European Union for Russias 2014 annexation of Ukraines Crimea. With sanctions you cant have mutual respect, he then added, which suggests that with Trumps victory Russia hopes the sanctions will be lifted.

Today, at the request of the repulsive phony who has been ruining our nation, President Trump is going to the disgraced White Hut.
The reason? Obama wants to plead with Trump not to revoke his pile of executive orders. He knows that his filthy legacy will be destroyed....which it should be. The problem that has existed for a very long time is that America has lacked leaders, instead we have suffered under lazy loutish 'moderate' to socialists. had dictators. Congress must wise up while there's still time for them. By ripping up the Constitution, their careers also end.
