United States News Title: Rigged election? On a personal note, I am very glad that Trump won (and I have been predicting it for about a year now). And I campaigned very hard for Trump in recent days. But it took me 5 hours to cast my vote today, and I am not at all sure that my vote was actually counted. To make a long story short, I recently moved, about 30 days ago, from one city in Texas (Alvin) to another nearby city (League City). And it so happens that they are in two different counties. Anyhow I set out to cast my vote at 7AM and drove 15 miles to Alvin (where my driver's licence says I live) in order to cast my vote for Trump, and I planned to place phone calls to undecided voters in Florida the rest of the day, as I had promised Trump's campaigne I would do. But the election judge(s) in Alvin looked up my name on their computer told me told me I could not vote there because I no longer lived there. I wasn't sure how they knew that, but they were of course right about that, and they told me to vote in League City. So I drove 15 miles back to League City to vote. But the League City election judge said I couldn't vote in League City because my driver's license says I live in Alvin, so he sent me back to Alvin. But the election judge in Alvin was still very adamant about the fact that I could not vote in Alvin, and again told me to vote in League City. But before trying to vote again in League City, I went home and researched the election laws on the internet (and that took about an hour), and I figured out that where you're supposed to vote is determined by where you lived 30 days before the election. And I started thinking about exactly when I moved to League City, and although (in my old age) my memory is not as good as it used to be, I figured out that I moved to League City a little over 30 days ago. So I went to the League City Post Office to get a copy of my change-of- address form. But they said they had no record of that, and I had to go to the Alvin Post office to get a copy of that. And I did that, and went back to League City thinking I would now be able to vote. But the LC election judge was still very adamant about not letting me vote there. But I was equally adamant about being able to vote there and told him I was not leaving until I cast my vote. So after a big arguement (and I was trying my best to stay calm and not be arrested because I was pretty sure I could not cast my vote from jail) he finally said I could vote "provisionally." And I said, OK, I'll do that. And I had to sign umpteen pieces of paper saying that I was aware that the election judge had determined that I am not a registered voter in Galveston County and my vote may or may not be counted. So after 5 hours of trying to cast my vote, I am still not sure my vote was counted. My question to you guys is, should I file charges against the LC election judge for incompetancy, or let it go (because Trump won Texas and Florida by a landslide and didn't need my vote and phone calls as it turns out)?
