Julian Assange’s Internet ‘Intentionally Severed By A State Party,’ Wikileaks Says

Reporter, Associate Editor
2:07 AM 10/17/2016

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange’s internet link was severed by a state party, the organization claimed in a tweet early Monday morning. Wikileaks claims to have activated “appropriate contingency plans.”

The announcement came hours after Wikileaks published three cryptic tweets Sunday afternoon referencing Ecuador, US Secretary of State John Kerry and the United Kingdom’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Each tweet was accompanied by a string of jumbled numbers and letters.

Assange is currently residing in the Ecuadorian embassy in London, England, where he has remained since seeking political asylum in June 2012. (RELATED: Leaked Emails Show Clinton Campaign Struggling Over Gay Marriage Position)

Kerry is currently in London as well for meetings with British, French and German foreign ministers regarding peace brokering attempts in Syria.

Earlier this month, Assange claimed he was going to make a major announcement regarding Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton on the balcony of the embassy, but canceled due to “security concerns.”

Over the last week and a half, Wikileaks has steadily released thousands of emails from Clinton campaign manager John Podesta’s Gmail account.

Wikileaks previously released hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee that showed party officials colluding against Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders. (RELATED: Wikileaks Cancels Major Clinton Revelation Amid ‘Security Concerns’)

Critics of Wikileaks say the organization is acting as a front for Russian hackers, a charge Assange has denied. U.S. intelligence officials believe Russian hackers have been the source of the hacks.

This is a developing story, check back for updates.

The Ecuadorean Embassy has presumably been D-lettered, or something of the sort.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DA-Notice

DA-Notice

A DA-Notice (Defence Advisory Notice)—called a Defence Notice (D-Notice) until 1993—is an official request to news editors not to publish or broadcast items on specified subjects for reasons of national security. The system is still in use in the United Kingdom.

United Kingdom

In the UK the original D-Notice system was introduced in 1912 and run as a voluntary system by a joint committee headed by an Assistant Secretary of the War Office and a representative of the Press Association. Any D-Notices or DA-notices are only advisory requests, and so are not legally enforceable; hence, news editors can choose not to abide by them. However, they are generally complied with by the media.

In 1971, all existing D-Notices were cancelled and replaced by standing D-Notices, which gave general guidance on what might be published and what was discouraged, and what would require further advice from the secretary of the Defence, Press and Broadcasting Advisory Committee (DPBAC). In 1993, the notices were renamed DA-Notices.

As of 2008, there are five standing DA-Notices and one proposed:

DA-Notice 01: Military Operations, Plans & Capabilities DA-Notice 02: Nuclear and Non-Nuclear Weapons and Equipment DA-Notice 03: Ciphers and Secure Communications DA-Notice 04: Sensitive Installations and Home Addresses DA-Notice 05: United Kingdom Security & Intelligence Special Services

According to an article in Defense Viewpoints, from 1997 to 2008 there were "30 occasions where the committee secretary has written to specific editors when a breach in the D-Notice guidelines is judged to have occurred."

Known notable uses
Main article: D-notice affair

In 1967, there was a political scandal in which Prime Minister Harold Wilson made a misjudged attack on the Daily Express newspaper, accusing it of breaching two D-notices which advised the press not to publish material which might damage national security. When the newspaper asserted it had been advised of no breach, an inquiry was set up under a committee of Privy Counsellors. The committee found against the Government, whereupon the Government refused to accept its findings on the disputed article, prompting press outrage and the resignation of the Secretary of the D-notice committee.

It has been reported that in 1971, four days following the Baker Street robbery, a D-Notice was issued, requesting that reporting be discontinued for reasons of national security. It is claimed that some security boxes contained embarrassing or nationally sensitive material. However, an investigation some years later showed that a request had never been made to the D-Notice committee. In fact, The Times newspaper was still reporting about the case over two months later.

In 2004 and 2005, three blanket letters were sent to newspapers advising against publications of countermeasures used against roadside ambushes used by British forces in the Iraq War.

On 8 April 2009, the Committee issued a DA-Notice in relation to sensitive anti-terror documents photographed when Assistant-Commissioner Bob Quick arrived at Downing Street for talks about current intelligence.

On 25 November 2010, the Committee issued a note to editors drawing attention to standing DA-Notices 1 and 5 in relation to sensitive documents expected to be imminently released on the website WikiLeaks.

In June 2013, a DA-Notice was issued asking the media to refrain from running further stories related to the U.S. PRISM programme, and British involvement therein. On 28 October that same year, the topic arose in Parliament, when the Prime Minister made a statement to threaten by judicial means to restrain publication of any further Snowden stories in The Guardian (or by extension, other media).

Im sure WikiLeaks have multiple contingency plans. What the demoncrats will try to do is muddy the water with bogus documents and then have proof that they fake tainting the whole lot(baby and the bath water theory). With the MSM as the demoncrats right arm they do not have to work hard to suppress. This is one of the reason why socialism is a bad for the peons.

Where are all the people claiming that the demoncrats are for the people!

Where are all the demoncrats for open and fair government!

Again its been proven demoncrats are for the devil not the good people!

The problem you have is that, for all of the hatred of Democrats, nevertheless it is the Democrats who are for Social Security, Unemployment Benefits, Minimum Wage, Workers Comp, Section 8, Food Assistance, Medicare, Medicaid, Universal Health Insurance, Universal Public Education - all of the financial supports of modern life that are necessary for the majority of the people to be able to make it.

And Republicans strongly oppose all of those things.

What Coulter said about Trump: "We know he's a lout - we're voting on policy" is also true for Democrats. Most Democrat voters know that the Democratic politicians are not saints. Most of them don't like Hillary and wish that it hadn't come down to this. Likewise, they didn't like Bill Clinton's sexcapades in the Oval Office.

But when it comes down to it, a vote for Democrats is a vote to maintain the social safety net, while a vote for Republicans is a vote to kill the social safety net.

And the social safety net is fundamental for the good of the people.

THAT is why the people doggedly continue to vote Democrat, even though Democrat leaders are lousy individuals and often bad leaders. It's about fundamental policy.

The Republicans oppose the best interests of a significant majority of the people, so they have to resort to all sorts of conspiracy theories and focus on the admittedly deficient personalities of Democrat leaders. If all of the smoke and fluff were removed and people just focused on policy, Democrats would win every election in a landslide.

The immediate actor would be John Kerry, Secretary of State, who is in London. Obama and Hillary share a mutual interest to shut down Wikileaks.

The 64 character strings released by Wikileaks are not keys to decrypt an encrypted file. Each is a hash to verify the authenticity of a file. Any change to any character in the associated file will cause the file to yield a different hash. If the file produces the same hash, it is authentic.

Absolutely. No question about it.

There is 35.4% of Americans receiving some type of federally funded means-tested assistance. Add to that the unemployment, Social Security, and Medicare and the percentage of Americans relying on the government is 49.5% of the population. Then add to that the percentage of folks who are just plain politically ignorant and vote Democratic….there goes the election on November.

But it doesn't have to be that way. Republicans could grow up, accept the necessity of the social safety net in the modern world and stop trying to tear it apart, and then, from a moderate position of economic reality, speak strongly for SOCIAL conservatism.

All rational people know that we need Social Security, public education, Medicare and Medicaid, and unemployment benefits. The majority of people also really don't like the aggressive gay agenda, they don't like nonsense like toilet swapping.

Most Americans are economically liberal but socially conservative - and THAT is the niche where the Republicans can recover. Standing against the social safety net just means loss after loss after loss.

Or that we can't win against Russia. Using conventional warfare, we would need an incredibly large army that we do not currently have. If it goes nuclear, nobody wins.

Wikileaks has documented crimes and utter corruption. The FBI 302's document criminal activity by State under Kerry as well as Clinton. The 302's are another amazing read.

Something else is the Governance Report on the Clinton Foundation that Chelsea commissioned. It's sort of like Don Corleone tasked Freddo with such a report on the Corleone family business, thinking he was so incompetent it would be harmless. Chelsea commissioned some of the most competent experts to do a report on the family business. They did, expertly. It's unreal. Even in their staid language, it is damning.

Wikileaks turns up the heat with every data dump. Restricting Assange from using the internet should have little or no effect. They are burying the Clintons is their own sewage, and it ain't pretty.

This is something like V for Vendetta, building to a crescendo. The Clintons, Obama, Kerry and the Dems don't know what to do about it. The data files appear to be available in the wild in encrypted form. The hashes have been released. If the decryption keys are released, all who have the files can decrypt them and bombs away. The black hats are here, there, everywhere, and nowhere.

And we have only seen about 25% of the Podesta files.

It appears this shitstorm will go on every day until the election.

In other, off-topic news, recall the marine officer who, on July 25, 2012 "transmitted classified data via an unsecure, commercial e-mail account, which led the Naval Criminal Investigative Service to investigate plaintiff’s handling of classified documents," and they found he had "stored more than 100 official documents, including classified documents, on his personal laptop and/or external storage device." Thanks for that update. I thought they already buried those Marines in some corner of Leavenworth. Glad to see they are still fighting.

Shall I assume the dangerous individual was part of a shadow organization of the CIA? I had three encounters in Iraq with the dangerous dupes at CIA.

One was not so bad. I was in Indian country with 5 vehicles with 50cals searching for the BN XO who stopped to help one of our maintenance teams recover a vehicle. Lost coms. This was like a week after that convoy got lost and soldiers captured. A week later and the roads were still unsecured behind 3ID push north. We needed to link up with them to provide MLRS fires for the push into Baghdad. Instead of finding the XO (he and team were fine and showed up hours later) I run into three white pick trucks with armed Iraqis in non regime uniforms. The old chocolate chip unis. Fat American dude comes up and tells us to not shoot. He's in civilian clothes and immediately tells me he is a commando with special ops. Fat chance of that. He asks for some fuel and wants protection. I get him to an 82nd AB check point and he thanks me and told me I should be honored to have escorted the Iraqi free army. I look at the three pick up trucks and 17 Iraqi dudes told him he was going to need to get more. At that point I knew the CIA was a bust in Iraq.

Second encounter two CIA operatives tried fooling an Army battalion into providing a raid force, security and JTAC to call in an air strike on one of their HVI missions. No one would be much the wiser but the Army battalion was in the Marine AO and got their CAS from the Marines. The Marines refused the CAS request because they knew nothing about such a mission in their sector. Of course the Marines punted their request to me as the regional OIC for air requests. I canvassed the various SOF LNOs and they too told me nothing was going on that they were involved in that night in the Marine sector. Fishy situation so I call the battalion direct and spoke with the Ops officer. After a long conversation I told him to report the operatives to higher, that the men were not SOF and if his unit killed anyone that night it would be illegal. Once I got the two star up and told him what was going on he dialed the USMC one star and put a halt to the mission. Unbelievable. They were going to use conventional units to do their dirty work. A week later the Marines investigated the incident and found out the guy the "operatives" wanted to kill was a key player in the Anbar peace talks.

Third encounter was a year later when I worked for a two star HQs. Guy coming in to the G3 tells him he is OGA which is their "cover" term. I'm the senior network targo and pulled my boss aside and told him to throw the bum out the door. He instead hands me a stack of targets the OGA guy says would help us break up three major cells. When he left I went through the list and once again half the list were dudes we were either working with or the SOF guys were working with. Dude was trying to kill useful intel sources.

They are complete morons.

I hope these Marines did not get involved with these types of operatives.

No. It is because they have covered all the bases to obtain as absolute power as they can. To do that, they need the press (check), the entertainment media (check), Wall Street (check), Silicon Valley (check), the unions (check), the big heavy manufacturers (check), the environmental industry (check).

That means, inevitably, that the fossil fuel industry will oppose them, and that can't be helped.

Time was that McGovernik Democrats opposed national defense, so the defense contractors opposed them. But under Clinton, and especially under Obama, there has been a pivot. Obama has played the game of Risk just like W, and Clinton has actively courted the military-industrial complex. And - here's the key - the defense contractors are not Republicans. They are businessmen. They aligned with the Republicans BECAUSE the McGovernik Democrats were attacking them and a bunch of peaceniks: and that's bad for business.

But the most important thing for defense contractors is that they have connections with power, and that power maintain the overseas tensions that justify huge defense spends.

Hillary is a hawk. She has courted the defense contractors. The Democrats look to be the stronger horse nowadays, and Hillary has courted the defense contractors.

And nothing pleases defense contractors more than the prospect of a new Cold War. I mean - think of all of the contracts! The profits! They back Hillary for this very reason. Cold War is a big, big moneymaker for the defense industry. It's also the bread and butter of a larger-than-necessary military. And the intelligence services cut their teeth on the USSR. Russia as a "natural enemy" is crucial to maintaining their size and status.

That is why Hillary and the Democrats poke Russia. That is why they want a Cold War. They are very much in the Reaganite mode, aiming at the synergy between populism (getting the "bad guys") and crony capitalism (channeling big Cold War contracts to the defense establishment and getting support in return).

What makes it different this time is that the Republican is not ALSO doing it. This time, Trump is aiming at cooling off the rhetoric with Russia. So, you have the whole defense and intelligence establishment in a full throated assault on him as "soft" on Russia, because Trump's reset with Russia will hurt all of their power, prestige and pocketbooks. That's why.

What chapter and verse is that? Oh you think the state is the church. Got it your confused. But then again you would vote for pro abort hillary over a christian.

I'm voting for Trump. I've given you chapter and verse before, and you ignored it completely. Not going through the effort again for you to ignore it again.

What chapter and verse is that?

Go back to Exodus and Leviticus, and read about the tithe, who and what it was for. The Levites were the judges, they WERE the state.

Thanks for that update. I thought they already buried those Marines in some corner of Leavenworth. Glad to see they are still fighting.

It's a bit early, but I think this one (Maj. Jason Brezler) may be winning with a claim of retaliation.
