Carrie Fisher says she knows why Donald Trump was sniffing so much during the second presidential debate — he does cocaine. Fisher was asked through social media during the debate Sunday night if Trump was a "coke head" because of his audible, reoccurring sniffing. "I'm an expert & ABSOLUTELY," the Star Wars actress responded on her verified Twitter account. Fisher has been open about her prior drug use. This is not the first time the GOP presidential nominee has been accused of doing drugs. Howard Dean suggested during the first presidential debate that Trump perhaps used cocaine because he was sniffing so much then, too. Dean later apologized for the "innuendo." Donald Trump "Absolutely" Does Cocaine But, does he do less than Hillary? I'm pretty sure Trump does less than Howard Dean did during his presidential run, or even while watching this debate. Dang, these D&R Party space cadets make Gary Johnson look like an Eagle Scout by comparison! I hope Trump sues her out of existence. Trump: "The three things I've always told my children to live by: No alcohol, no drugs, and no smoking". To say Trump did drugs, in front of his children and 100 million Americans in a Presidential debate, is ludicrous and ignorant.
I hope he does to. Reminds me whe Seanad claimed arsenio hall was a drug dealer who supplied prince with drugs. I'm surprised he didn't sue.

Well, the court will bring up New York Times v. Sullivan and argue he's- a-public-figure-so-you-can-say-anything-about-him defense. In 2011, Scalia rightfully argued that the change in the law (denying public figures protection) should have been done by the people, not the courts. Trump wants to go back to the way it was.
Carrie is an utter failure. She was lousy in Star Wars playing Princess Lay- yah and her career went down even further so that today no one's heard of her. Apparently she wants another ten minutes of fame by spreading specious rumors. It is not a complete removal of protection, but the public figure must prove actual malice, i.e. he must prove the defamation was made knowing it was false, or in reckless disregard for the truth.

Scalia's (and Trump's) point was that there are two standards and there shouldn't be. If the people want public figures to be treated differently, then the people should vote on it, not have it shoved down their throats by the court. The current system isn't working, as evidenced by the dearth of libel cases settled in favor of the plaintiff. Plus, I think it would bring more accountibility to the press.
