There was a YUGE backbone outage near Los Angeles, CA that affected the entire world. Some idiot cut pre-existing fiber optic cable. Betcha the asshole was an untrained illegal alien "trying" to do a job in the most expedious way.

Do wetbacks even know what fiber-optic cable is?

I am confident that an illegal alien was told to dig up the cable because of some minor nuisance, so as untrained illegal aliens they used their shovel to perform the job in a most expedious manner.

YEA!

Security experts say the attacks could be the work of a disgruntled employee or of terrorists probing the nation's infrastructure to see how long repairs take. FBI officials say it's possible whoever has been attacking the cables is dressed as a utility company employee.

If the site computer didn't break down, that's probably what happened. The machine used to weld the the ends of the cut fibers back together used to cost $60,000.

There is a history of this same vandalism in that area over the years.

I think there is still a $250k reward to catch the culprit.
