Bible Study Title: Brazoria County Justice Brazoria County Jail is probably the most famous (or infamous) jail in the US (if not the world). They are basically famous for the fact that when a fight or a riot breaks out, the jailers do not come into the jail cell(s) to break it up, but send in their police dogs. And it works really quite well, and no jailer gets injured. Anyhow, one time I spent 30 days in the Brazoria Co. jail for blowing .08, and I was very mad at MADD for lowering the limit to .08 which is basically 2 tall boys which I had been drinking after work for 40+ years and is a time-honored tradition in Texas dating from the days of Stephen F Austin. And all the time you mare in jail, you can hear the police dogs barking. But I was determined to make the best out of a bad situation, and on the first Sunday I went to church like I always do. But the preacher was a morbidly obese guy and there were only 2 of us (besides him) and he struggled to get out of his chair to preach and he couldn't do it. So he asked if either of us inmates wanted to preach. It was the opportunity I had been waiting for all my life. When I was born, a prophetess said I would become the greatest preacher to ever come out of Matagorda County (the county next door). But no church in Matagorda County would let me preach (because they said my theology was whacky), and I had seldom been out of Matagorda Co., so I didn't know how it was going to happen until that Sunday. Anyhow I preached, and the next Sunday I preached again and there were 4 inmates there, and the next Sunday there were 8, the next Sunday there were 16 of us, and the next Sunday there were 32 inmates there. And I converted them all by first proving there is a God (by showing them that 90 % of the Revelation has already come to pass over the last 1900 years). But whoever was in charge decided it was illegal for an inmate to be doing the preaching, and they made the assigned preacher resume preaching and the attendance went back down to 2 or 3 inmates. But I started holding a service after the service at Recreation time. And I converted virtually the entire jail -- except for the Manson/NAZI/Satan worshipper with a swastika tattooed right between his eyes like Charles Manson. Anyhow, getting back to the Brazoria Co. justice part. The jail is a round jail, with 2 guards stationed in the center so they can keep watch over the inmates at all times. And for 29 days, there was at least one guard there 24/7 as required. And there were 20 inmates in my cell, and everyone is my cell was in there for 30 days like me (and I converted them all except for the Manson dude who was a hard nut to crack). Then we all started getting out of jail, one by one. But the first guy to get out was murdered the same day he got out, and the jailers put the murderer in my jail cell with all of the victim's friends, and then vacated the guard desk for 45 minutes. Then most of my star pupils started beating the hell out of him and did not let up for 45 minutes. And I had often told them we are supposed to love our personal enemies, but we are to kill the enemies of Jesus (see Luke 19:27), and I meant by that that we are to join the armed forces (and do it legally). But they lost sight of that and were actually trying to kill him, and the point is, the jailers also wanted it to happen. And to me the murderer looked pretty dead, but they took him to the hospital, and I don't know to this day if he lived or died because I got out the next morning, as did everyone else.
