Not much going on anymore. Mostly just cop bashing threads. It picked up after the end of LP. But that seems gone now. Heck, even the owner hardly shows up. Bye Bye Flame.

There does seem to be a general move away from public forums over the past years. Facebook and other alternative digital communications may be the reason. The rate of change tech brings to the world seems to be increasing in speed.

The influx of obsessed pro druggies and mindless juvenile nutcases is driving people out. I'm considering not coming back any more. It's a waste of time.

There are many people who want the United States to turn into anarchy. They would like nothing better than to see rioting in the streets and a general collapse of the American society. They see themselves as good American citizens.

I think you mistake the need to restore the Republic for anarchy. What would you do with a termite ridden foundation? Would you not rip it out and replace it with one more likely to stand? ... Well, my facebook site was stolen by a Chinese girl. I am wondering what my contacts think when they go to my site and see a middle aged man replaced by a Chinese girl. That's one hell of a transgender job. (I later found out this happens a lot, as Facebook is a no no in China.) I guess i could start a new facebook site with a new email, but ehhh, Im not really motivated. In the nearly 20 years I've been reading your posts, I don't think I've ever seen you make a serious post about politics or an important subject. You're either whining about the host or socializing with other posters instead of actually joining the discussion. If you're lonely, get a pet, or a girlfriend to take up your extra time, but don't expect Stone to provide you with female company. He`s not a pimp.

And there are things you would share with family but not with associates or coworkers, and vice versa. Ideally, you'd have a separate login for each class of people in your life. But it doesn't work that way. It's easy to waste time on FB. I don't miss it.
There is a way to group your postings on FB so that only friends or family see what you post.

Ditto here. The same people who would complain about posts on police bashing and with their unpopular opinions, are the same people who probably won't cover your back when this country turns into uncivil turmoil. I choose to fight for my inalienable rights rather than rely on an officer. From my experience in dealings with police corruption, I would say that only 20% are of upstanding people. I cannot say the same about the remaining 80% as their Fraternal Orders all protect them from personal liability when their people go beyond the scope of their duties. They believe they can get away with murder, theft, and even assaults on innocent people and their property. For 2 1/2 years, I have been legally assisting a family member in a police misconduct case that almost costed this family member their life and real property. In trying to do the job as executor of the estate, the police barge in with no warrants to kidnap a family member and take their money and possessions and have them put in some psyche ward. The family attorney, myself, and the executor of the estate are working on filing lawsuits against the police, county and any other officials involved in this matter. So, you damn right I'm going to fight. If what I am doing is police bashing, then this country is not fit for anybody to live in anymore. The only people deemed fit to live in this country are pussies.

I still lurk. I've never been a full-time poster. Most of the time I don't have anything major to add to a conversation, so I just read it and move on. But I still see enough items of interest here that I stop by to read them. And I think that the 'doom and gloom' about this site is overblown. Aside from when something major occurs (such as LP going down), this has always been a moderate-traffic forum. It's never been the biggest (and I don't think that it was ever AKA Stone's plan for it to become that) but at the same time there are numerous other forum sites of a similar technology and whatnot where there is no real conversation going on at all. I.E. sites where you only see the site owner posting for months on end. That is not the situation here. Plenty of folks post and discuss. If you have found it boring, well, that's your subjective reaction. Other's obviously have had a different experience here.

Bob, I know you mean well and all but when taking an oath of this measure, I need to remind you that you cannot serve God and Caesar's law. When you pledge an oath to the State, it is an oath to Caesar's Law. Proof of this lies in Title 10 Section 311 pertaining to classifications of the militias. Each State has a Governor who is in charge of deploying professional standing armies known as The National Guard. Any other militias within this section are classified as the able-bodied unprofessional standing armies not governed by the Governor. They are legal but outside the control of the Governor.
