I've never been a full-time poster. Most of the time I don't have anything major to add to a conversation, so I just read it and move on. But I still see enough items of interest here that I stop by to read them.
And I think that the 'doom and gloom' about this site is overblown. Aside from when something major occurs (such as LP going down), this has always been a moderate-traffic forum. It's never been the biggest (and I don't think that it was ever AKA Stone's plan for it to become that) but at the same time there are numerous other forum sites of a similar technology and whatnot where there is no real conversation going on at all. I.E. sites where you only see the site owner posting for months on end.
That is not the situation here. Plenty of folks post and discuss. If you have found it boring, well, that's your subjective reaction. Other's obviously have had a different experience here.
