VALDOSTA, Ga. (AP) — The Latest on the shooting of a police officer in south Georgia (all times local): 4:20 p.m. Authorities say a man called 911 in south Georgia to report a break-in, then ambushed and shot the officer who came to investigate. Both men were wounded in the ensuing gunfire, and both are expected to survive. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says in a news release that 22-year-old Stephen Paul Beck called 911, saying his car was broken into Friday morning. Officer Randall Hancock came to investigate, and police say Beck shot at him as soon as he got out of his car. He was hit twice in his protective vest and once beneath the vest in his abdomen. The GBI says the motive is unknown, but there is no indication the shooting was connected to the shootings of 12 officers in Dallas on Thursday night. Five of those officers died. ___ 12:40 p.m. Authorities say a man opened fire on a police officer investigating a report of a damaged vehicle in south Georgia and was wounded when an officer returned fire. Valdosta Police Chief Brian Childress says the officer also was wounded, but both men are expected to survive. He says the officer was shot "multiple times" but is going to be fine. The suspect was not identified. Childress would not discuss a possible motive. Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokesman Scott Dutton says one of the shots hit the officer in the abdomen, just below his protective vest. Other shots hit the officer's vest. Dutton said it's early in the investigation, but there's nothing to indicate that the shooting was related to the ambush of police officers in Dallas.

You need to look up the word "mock", as I did no such thing. You also need to read my full post, where I speculated that the paranoia among police fosters the very sentiments that fuel incidents like the above. IOW, (I'll spell it out), when police paranoia results in innocent people getting killed, then there's blowback when some people (only takes a very small minority) start engaging in revenge incidents, only they are directed against all police, not just those who have actually partaken in the homicides. IOW, the paranoia among police ultimately becomes a self fulfilling prophecy, as the story above demonstrates.
They stop being innocent the moment they reach for a gun.

It includes ever case where a black was killed by police and the officer was found GUILTY for lack of justification. Now, run off and cut and paste every case that's been documented that fits that description. It will take you a LONG time to find a handful of cases.

Before cams and audio recordings became commonplace, which is quite recently, it would be hard to prove shootings were unjustified. Any and all doubt would favor the cops. Now that they are common, I expect charges and convictions of cops to increase significantly.

Thats what rational people would expect in a soceity of law. Unfortunitly as evidenced by the past ten years, more often then not DAs and Judges will protect the pigs in blue regardless of video evidence and the cops dont give a flip about color (although i will admit that blacks do seem to have the shortest life expectancy around pigs) they will kill human beings of any color for any reason and thats been my biggest beef and what i try to get accross to others,.... if people dont care about cops killing blacks without reason then they dont care if they themselves get killed with out reason.
