The CDC announced on its website that raw milk from Miller’s Organic Farm in Bird-in-Hand was tied to a death in Florida and a sickness in California. Officials said it was a strain of Listeria from the raw milk that caused the sickness in 2014, but the source was not known until Jan. 29 of this year. Both victims were over the age of 70. The CDC said it is concerned that more raw milk products from the farm could be contaminated. Health officials said drinking unpasteurized milk comes with the risk of carrying deadly bacteria such as: Listeria, E. coli, and Campylobacter. Miller’s Organic Farm was unavailable for comment. Which part of the U.S. Constitution gives Congress the power “to regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian tribes.” Help me remember, is that the Commerce Clause in Article 1, Section 8, Clause 3 of the U.S Constution? The Commerce Clause in the U.S. Constitution reserves the right of the Federal Government to control interstate commerce. And shipping milk between states in interstate commerce.
